A quick report from the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training said: On the morning of June 27, 80,583 candidates took the 2018 General Education Program elective subject exam in 1,772 exam rooms at 80 exam locations. After 2 exam sessions, no candidate violated exam regulations, but 656 candidates were absent from the elective subject exam.
Taking the High School Graduation Exam according to the 2006 General Education Program at 5 testing locations, there were 143 candidates taking the Natural Science exam in 10 testing rooms, reaching 85.11% of the number of candidates registered for the exam; 461 candidates taking the Social Science exam in 25 testing rooms, reaching 94.66% of the number of candidates registered for the exam.
It is known that continuing to organize exams for candidates according to the 2006 General Education Program meets transition requirements, opening up opportunities for students to excel and continue pursuing their studies to establish themselves and make a career.
This school year, the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training has also organized two quality surveys for 12th grade students. This is an opportunity for staff, teachers and students to practice organizing exams according to current high school graduation exam regulations; at the same time, it creates changes for each school and unit in directing teaching and learning activities, contributing to improving the quality of students' review.
On the afternoon of June 27, 191 candidates took the English exam in 11 exam rooms, accounting for 94.09% of the number of candidates registered for the exam; 4 candidates took the Chinese exam in 3 exam rooms; and 1 candidate took the German exam in 1 exam room.
According to the summary of the Examination Council of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa, after 4 examination sessions, there were no candidates violating the examination regulations, but there were 1,443 candidates who did not take the examination. The transportation and handover of examination papers and examination documents from examination locations to the Examination Council was carried out immediately after the end of the last examination session of the Examination at the examination locations; the Head of the examination site and the Police participated throughout the process of transportation and handover of examination papers.
Thanh Hoa province's administrative boundaries are vast, with dozens of exam locations in mountainous areas, including the high school exam location in Muong Lat district, 250km from Thanh Hoa city. The exam steering committees at all levels are concerned with plans to handle unexpected situations such as natural disasters and floods, especially arranging dormitories and accommodations for candidates from remote villages and hamlets.
The exam season support team includes young volunteers who assist candidates in moving around and handling any situations that arise. Some localities also arrange seats, fans, and drinking water for parents waiting for candidates; businesses coordinate with the youth volunteers to provide bread, drinks, and portable fans to parents and candidates in need; contributing to the successful organization of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Thanh Hoa.
