Thanh Hoa has a new Chairman of the Provincial People's Council

On the afternoon of December 2, the 18th term Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council held its 23rd session to elect the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term to replace Mr. Do Trong Hung, who was transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee.

At this session, on the basis of consensus on personnel introduced by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, delegates of the Provincial People's Council (term XVIII) voted to elect the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council (term XVIII) for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

As a result, 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates present voted to elect Mr. Lai The Nguyen to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council (term XVIII) for the 2021-2026 term.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hoa Province, and new Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa Province, affirmed that this is an honor and also a great responsibility that the Party Committee, government, voters and people of all ethnic groups in the province have entrusted to him.

Mr. Nguyen pledged that, regardless of his position, he would always be steadfast, firm, absolutely loyal to the Party and the people, and be exemplary in abiding by the law; strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, actively study, cultivate, practice, maintain moral qualities and lifestyle, and improve his working capacity; uphold a sense of responsibility, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly complete all assigned tasks.
