People visit the revolutionary historical relic site of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's headquarters (1967-1973 period).
In the grounds of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Revolutionary Historical Site, 1967-1973, Mr. Ha Sy Tai, the caretaker of the site, often told the visiting groups about the local history with gratitude and respect. Mr. Tai said that in August 1964, the US imperialists caused the Gulf of Tonkin incident, using the excuse of using the air force to attack North Vietnam. In that situation, implementing the Central's policy, the Provincial Party Committee evacuated and placed the Provincial Party Committee's office in Vien Noi village. This was the time when the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee issued many resolutions and directives to lead the people in the province to compete in production and fight against the destructive war of the US imperialists, contributing to defeating the invading US and unifying the country.
Many special events of the province took place here. On September 6, 1969, at the large hall of the province (Vien Noi village, old Thieu Vien commune), the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Administrative Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held the memorial service for the great President Ho Chi Minh . Thousands of delegates and people representing ethnic groups, religions, sectors, and localities from all over the province attended the memorial service with boundless grief. On behalf of the Party Committee, army, and people in the province, comrade Ngo Thuyen, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, read the eulogy and vowed to make every effort to fully implement his sacred Testament.
Then, from October 21, 1969 to November 4, 1969, the Congress elected the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term VII, consisting of 35 official members and 2 alternate members. On November 5, 1969, the Provincial Party Executive Committee met and elected comrade Vo Nguyen Luong as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. In April 1971, the Provincial Party Committee organized a conference to study the Resolution of the Central Military Commission to discuss local military affairs and decided to change the Provincial Military Command (Provincial Military Command) into the Provincial Military Command; change the name of the district military command into the district and town military command; change the name of the commune and enterprise bases into the commune military command... After the country was unified, the Provincial Party Committee moved to Thanh Hoa town (old), now Hac Thanh ward.
With its great values, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's headquarters was recognized as a provincial-level revolutionary historical relic in 2009. In order to preserve, conserve and promote the value of the relic, on October 17, 2019, the Provincial People's Committee approved the investment policy for the project to renovate and embellish the revolutionary historical relic of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's headquarters (period 1967-1973). Up to now, the relic has been renovated with construction items such as: the entrance gate to the relic, the office of the Standing Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's large hall, the traditional house displaying many memorabilia and artifacts donated by many individuals...
Proud to be born, raised and witnessed many changes in his homeland, Mr. Ha Sy Tai added: “As the person directly taking care of the relic, I am very happy that many delegations of visitors come to offer incense and learn about the relic site, especially many schools in the province have organized activities for students to return to their roots on the occasions of February 3, March 26, August 19, September 2... From there, it arouses pride and educates the revolutionary tradition for the young generation in building an increasingly developed homeland.”
Coming to Vien Noi village these days, we clearly feel the changes in the countryside here with the concrete roads connected continuously and the infrastructure works invested synchronously and spaciously. Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Party cell secretary and head of Vien Noi village, said: "Vien Noi village has 160 households with 670 people, people mainly live on agriculture. In 2022, the village started to build a model new rural village. With the motto "State and People work together", the village development committee met and assessed the actual situation in the locality to propose key tasks and solutions. In particular, the leadership perspective is to promote the exemplary role of cadres and party members, thereby creating a spread and promoting internal strength among the people".
Thanks to the consensus of the people, from 2022 to now, the villagers have contributed over 3 billion VND to invest in infrastructure; many households voluntarily donated land and dismantled auxiliary works, fences, and gates to expand and upgrade traffic routes. In economic development, thanks to actively converting the structure of crops and livestock, many families have built a model of growing fruit trees combined with raising livestock, bringing economic efficiency. In addition, many households have also boldly developed trade and services to improve the quality of life; thanks to that, the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved. Up to now, the average income per capita of Vien Noi village has reached 68 million VND/year and the village no longer has poor households.
58 years with so much affection, these days, the relic site has become a "red address" attracting many cadres, party members and people to offer incense, visit, study and educate the young generation about historical and revolutionary traditions. From there, it helps everyone to be more proud and appreciate the past to be responsible for following the tradition of their ancestors, building their homeland to be more and more rich and civilized.
