Preparations for the TV program "Rallying to the North - Deep Love and Meaning" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the rallying to the North are being urgently prepared, promising to be a solemn, emotional and meaningful event.

At the end of August 1954, exactly one month after signing the Geneva Agreement, the Party Central Committee Secretariat issued a Directive stating: "It is necessary to organize a widespread propaganda and education campaign for local cadres and people about the obligation to welcome soldiers, wounded soldiers, cadres and people from the South to the North.

At that historic moment, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thanh Hoa province were honored to be the first locality to be entrusted by the Party Central Committee, the Government and Uncle Ho with the task of welcoming compatriots, cadres, soldiers and students from the South to the North.

Carrying out the tasks assigned by the Party Central Committee, the Government and Uncle Ho, with its affection and responsibility, Thanh Hoa organized a reception for compatriots, cadres, soldiers and students from the South at the following locations: Sam Son, Quang Xuong, Hoang Hoa... The first location to welcome was Lach Hoi, Quang Tien commune (now Quang Tien ward, Sam Son city, Thanh Hoa province).

To preserve for future generations a heroic period of national history, the loyal and steadfast North-South solidarity, to educate revolutionary traditions and all classes of people, to respond to the aspirations of the Southern people who always look towards the love of the people and land of the North in the past, on August 28, 2022, the Liaison Committee of Southern compatriots who gathered in the North coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province to build the Memorial Project for Southern compatriots, cadres, soldiers and students who gathered in the North.

The memorial area was built right at the old assembly wharf, consisting of 3 sub-areas, of which area A, about 13,600 m2 wide, is considered the center with a ship-shaped monument and a large bow-shaped relief.

The television program "Rallying to the North - Deep Love and Heavy Meaning" celebrates the 70th anniversary of the rallying to the North, at 3 locations: Ca Mau, Hai Phong and Thanh Hoa on the evening of November 16.

Currently, Thanh Hoa province is urgently installing a stage to serve the live television broadcast.

Workers are actively installing at the Memorial Area of ​​the Southern soldiers, officers and students who gathered in the North in Quang Tien ward, Sam Son city, Thanh Hoa province.

On the stage of the TV program "Rallying to the North - Deep Love and Meaning" commemorating the 70th anniversary of the rallying to the North, rafts and tools used to transfer people from large ships to the mainland also appeared.

Workers eat, sleep and take breaks on site to speed up installation progress for the television bridge.

70 years have passed, but the affection and responsibility of the people of the North, including the people of Thanh Hoa province, towards the cadres, soldiers, compatriots and generations of students from the South who gathered in the North are forever engraved, a vivid symbol of the love and affection of compatriots and comrades, mutual support, and willingness to share all difficulties and hardships.
