Thanh Hoa receives aid for clean water project for ethnic minorities

Mr. Le Duc Giang, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, recently signed Decision No. 4044/QD-UBND dated October 31 on receiving aid to implement the project "Clean water for ethnic minorities in Ba Thuoc district" sponsored by World Vision International (WVI) USA - Representative Office in Vietnam.

Accordingly, the project aims to expand the water pipeline from the Dien Quang Commune Clean Water Supply System to villages in Dien Quang Commune, Ba Thuoc District, contributing to increasing access to clean water for children and people, reducing water-borne diseases and improving the quality of life of local people.

At the same time, increase access to clean water for children and people in 3 villages: Xe, Co and Ven Am Kha, Dien Quang commune, Ba Thuoc district; improve knowledge and practice of children and people on clean water, sanitation and environment.

World Vision International (WVI) USA - Representative Office in Vietnam is responsible for the commitments with relevant organizations and individuals in implementing the Clean Water project for ethnic minorities in Ba Thuoc district according to the provisions of Vietnamese law.

The Decision also assigns the People's Committee of Ba Thuoc district (project owner) to manage and closely supervise the implementation of the project in the locality, ensuring that the project is deployed to the right subjects, with approved content, in accordance with the provisions of law and does not affect security, order and social safety in the locality; coordinate in providing necessary information of the project to competent authorities during the project implementation process according to regulations. At the same time, closely coordinate with the Provincial Police and related units, manage issues of security, order, social safety and activities of sponsors, organize international conferences and seminars, relevant content and documents (if any) during the implementation process according to regulations...

The total project capital in goods and services is equivalent to 77,800 USD. The project completion time is no later than December 2023.
