Thanh Hoa to sign contracts with more than 3,800 teachers before July 1

Implementing Decree 111/2022/ND-CP, the 18th term People's Council of Thanh Hoa province has just passed a resolution on assigning labor contract quotas for teachers in public educational institutions in the area. The signing will be completed before the district and commune-level government apparatus officially moves into a new phase of operation.

Among the 16 resolutions recently passed by the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council at its 30th session, the resolution on assigning targets for signing labor contracts for teachers according to Decree No. 111/2022/ND-CP has attracted special attention. This is a content of practical significance in the context of preparing for the new school year and reorganizing the apparatus according to the administrative reform roadmap.

According to the recently issued resolution, Thanh Hoa province will assign a total of 3,840 teachers to work on labor contracts for the 2025-2026 school year, with a contract term of 12 months (from June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026). Of these, 960 are preschool teachers; 1,152 are primary school teachers; 1,422 are junior high school teachers and 306 are high school teachers.

The recently passed resolution helps many teachers feel secure in teaching.

Immediately after the resolution took effect, the Provincial People's Committee urgently allocated specific targets to each locality and publiceducation management unit to organize the signing of contracts with teachers before July 1, 2025, the time when the district and commune-level government systems officially come into operation according to new regulations.

Previously, the signing of labor contracts under Decree 111/2022/ND-CP had made many teachers in the area worried when the contract term was shortened, only lasting until May 31, 2025, and could not be renewed for 3 summer months. Many teachers expressed concerns about the possibility of continuing the contract in the new school year, because the signing of contracts often depends on the human resource needs of each school.

The resolution was issued with specific targets, deadlines and scopes, which will help localities and educational units in Thanh Hoa be more proactive in personnel work before the new school year, while contributing to ensuring the rights of contract teachers according to current regulations.

The timely implementation of the contract signing also demonstrates the province's serious preparation in implementing the Government 's regulations on personnel management in the administrative and career sectors, aiming to improve the quality of education in the process of comprehensive innovation of the sector.
