Ho Chi Minh City: Displaying images of Uncle Ho's life

On the morning of May 17, at Nguyen Hue Walking Street (District 1), the Organizing Committee of Ho Chi Minh City's major holidays held the opening ceremony of the exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh - The great national hero, the shining crystallization of morality, intelligence, spirit, and conscience of the Vietnamese people and the era."

Event to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the 114th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2025).

The exhibition takes place at 3 locations: Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Dong Khoi Street (in front of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City) and the area opposite Chi Lang Park.

Specifically, at Nguyen Hue Walking Street (District 1), the exhibition displays 100 images, summarizing the life of President Ho Chi Minh from his childhood to the time he decided to leave to find a way to save the country. Under the light of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought, the Communist Party of Vietnam led the Vietnamese revolution to historic victories, opening an era of independence and freedom for the nation.

On Dong Khoi Street, the Organizing Committee displayed 70 photos with the theme "The beloved South is always in His heart." The images show President Ho Chi Minh's deep affection and special concern for the South during the arduous years of revolutionary struggle. That affection has always been a spiritual strength and a great source of encouragement for the army and people of the South in the cause of national liberation and reunification.

In the area opposite Chi Lang Park, with 50 photos, the exhibition with the theme "President Ho Chi Minh - A shining example of self-study and lifelong learning" introduces documents and images about the learning and training process of President Ho Chi Minh from his youth until he became a great leader of the nation and some typical books, newspapers and magazines written by him or directly directed the composition and implementation... throughout his revolutionary activities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Ho Chi Minh City, said that President Ho Chi Minh is a noble symbol of true patriotism combined smoothly with proletarian internationalism.

He devoted himself to building solidarity and constantly fostering close and friendly relations among the peoples of Indochina and neighboring countries; making outstanding contributions in both theory and practice to the communist movement and the national liberation movement.

The life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh were extremely great, full of hardships, noble and rich, bright and beautiful, becoming a great man of the 20th century, a national liberation hero, a genius leader of the Party and people, an outstanding cultural figure of Vietnam, an outstanding soldier of the international communist and workers' movement.

The exhibition runs until June 11, 2025./.
