On the morning of March 29, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Tien Giang Province Branch coordinated with the People's Committee of My Tho City to organize the launching ceremony of the cashless payment route including the following routes: Ap Bac, Nguyen Trai, Ly Thuong Kiet, Rach Gam, Le Thi Hong Gam, 30/4, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Tran Quoc Tuan and Le Loi.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Ly Hoang Chieu, Chief of Office of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Dam, Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communications; Ms. Nguyen Thi Dam, Director of State Bank of Vietnam, Tien Giang Province Branch and representatives of 29 commercial banks, representatives of leaders of 17 wards and communes of My Tho city.
With a high sense of responsibility and determination, since the State Bank of Vietnam, Tien Giang Province Branch and My Tho City People's Committee launched the cashless route on December 25, 2023, 04 commercial banks including: Agribank , BIDV, Vietcombank and Vietinbank have coordinated with the wards to manage the above routes and actively promote the benefits of cashless payments, mobilize and guide the use of digital banking applications in payments. After a period of implementation, people and businesses in the city have gradually changed their transaction and payment habits.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Be Phuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of My Tho city, praised the active efforts of the State Bank of Vietnam, Tien Giang branch, and commercial banks that have been active in deploying cashless payment routes in recent times. She emphasized that the People's Committee of My Tho city will continue to direct communes and wards to propagate through mass media to each household, expanding cashless payments on all routes in the area. The goal is that people, business households, and enterprises, regardless of where they are, can quickly and easily access public services, digital applications, and digital platforms. At the same time, she requested localities and units to step up propaganda work on digital economic development, digital government in general, and cashless payments in particular.
At the ceremony, representatives of the provincial and city leaders of My Tho, together with leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam, Tien Giang branch, and leaders of 04 banks, Agribank, BIDV, Vietcombank and Vietinbank, performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch the cashless routes. At the same time, 29 leaders representing commercial banks and 17 leaders representing wards and communes of My Tho city signed a cooperation agreement to replicate the model of "Cashless payment route".
The launching ceremony is the opening activity for the widespread deployment of cashless payments on all routes in My Tho city in the coming time, contributing to accelerating the digital transformation process and developing the city's digital economy.
