Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announces personnel decisions

On the morning of October 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a conference to announce decisions on personnel work.

At the Conference, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announced the decision to appoint comrade Le Quoc Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Party Secretary of the City Party agencies.

At the recent opening session of the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, the Politburo decided that comrade Le Quoc Phong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province, ceased to participate in the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030 and other positions in the structure; transferred, assigned, and appointed to participate in the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

At the Conference, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also announced the decision to transfer and assign the position of Head of the City Party Committee's Organizing Committee to comrade Pham Thanh Kien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Council, for a term of 5 years.
