HAGL Club member who just died was an assistant to coach Park Hang-seo

The tragic accident on the afternoon of August 12 in Gia Lai killed 3 members of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club (HAGL).

The member of HAGL club who just died was an assistant to coach Park Hang-seo.

Mr. Duong Minh Ninh died in a traffic accident on August 12.

Those who died included assistant coach Duong Minh Ninh, foreign player Paollo Madeira Oliveir and doctor Dao Trong Tri.

In the past, Mr. Duong Minh Ninh was invited to the Vietnam national team many times to take on the position of assistant to the coaches.

Most recently, in September 2022, the strategist born in 1975 joined the coaching staff, supporting coach Park Hang-seo.

During the period 2000-2002, when Hoang Anh Gia Lai played in the first division, Mr. Duong Minh Ninh was a hero of the mountain town football team.

But after the 2003 season, Mr. Ninh could not compete for a position with the then emerging striker Minh Hai.

Also in that season, former assistant coach Park Hang-seo asked to withdraw to work in logistics for HAGL.

It was not until HAGL cooperated with Mr. Duc to build the academy that Mr. Ninh officially became an assistant to coach Guilaumme Graechen for many years.

Since then, Mr. Ninh has been regularly called up to be assistant head coach at U19, U22 and the Vietnam national team, especially under coach Nguyen Huu Thang.

When the national team levels are on hiatus, Mr. Duong Minh Ninh returns to work as an assistant to the coaches at the club.

In October 2017, after Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan submitted his resignation as HAGL coach, Mr. Duc brought Mr. Duong Minh Ninh to power.

In April 2019, Mr. Ninh resigned as head coach to give the position to coach Lee Tae Hoon and he returned to his professional support duties until now.
