Dismantling barbed wire fence blocking beach in Nha Trang

On May 8, a leader of the Nha Trang City People's Committee ( Khanh Hoa Province) said that Hoan Cau Nha Trang Joint Stock Company is dismantling barbed wire fences blocking the beach in Phuoc Dong Commune, under the supervision of the People's Committee of this commune.

It is expected that the original status will be restored on May 10. Nha Trang City People's Committee also requested relevant parties to commit not to repeat the above-mentioned behavior.

The leader of Nha Trang City People's Committee also said that, for now, they only require businesses to dismantle themselves to restore the landscape to the beach. Relevant authorities are synthesizing and waiting for instructions from the Provincial People's Committee to have a way to handle the behavior of businesses arbitrarily barricading the beach.

Regarding the incident, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Chief of Office of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, said that he had submitted it to the Provincial People's Committee leaders for consideration and direction after the Department of Agriculture and Environment reported and advised.

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, at the end of March 2025, Hoan Cau Nha Trang Joint Stock Company built 2 barbed wire fences with 115 reinforced concrete pillars at Phuoc Dong beach, blocking the land facing the sea of ​​Hoan Cau Kim Cuong Bay Resort Joint Stock Company.

Nha Trang City People's Committee then requested the Chairman of Phuoc Dong Commune People's Committee to seriously learn from the incident. Khanh Hoa Province Department of Agriculture and Environment said that the above-mentioned constructions destroy the landscape, are offensive, affect the surrounding area... and recommended the Provincial People's Committee to consider and direct the handling.
