Tay Ninh province is planning 14 logistics centers.
Specifically, in the old Long An area, according to Decision No. 686/QD-TTg, dated June 13, 2023, there are 10 logistics centers planned, of which only 2 centers have investors, the remaining 8 centers are still waiting to attract investment.
Notably, two logistics centers at Binh Hiep international border gate and My Quy Tay national border gate (each center has an area of 10 hectares) still face many difficulties in attracting investors.
In the old Tay Ninh area, according to Decision No. 1736/QD-TTg, dated December 29, 2023, 4 logistics centers are planned, including the center at Moc Bai international border gate (150ha), Xa Mat border gate (100ha) and 2 centers connecting with other means of transport. Currently, only 1 center has an investor, the remaining projects are being implemented but the progress is slow, not meeting the requirements.
The main reason identified is the difficulty in land, enterprises have to negotiate or the State reclaims land according to regulations, leading to a lack of clean land to attract investment. Investment procedures, site clearance and coordination mechanisms also have many obstacles, affecting the progress of project implementation.
Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade recommends that the Provincial People's Committee direct relevant departments, branches and localities to strengthen coordination with investors to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in investment procedures, site clearance, coordination mechanisms, and other technical conditions so that projects can be implemented on schedule.
In addition, investors focus resources, speed up construction progress, and soon put the project into operation and exploitation to contribute to perfecting the province's logistics ecosystem, serving import, export and circulation of goods in the region./.
