Lighting candles and lanterns to pay tribute to heroic martyrs in Vung Tau

On the evening of July 26, on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947-2024), Vung Tau city solemnly held a memorial service for the heroic martyrs and fallen soldiers at the Vung Tau City Martyrs' Temple with the participation of more than 600 officials, civil servants, armed forces, people, relatives of martyrs, students, youth union members... attending the ceremony with leaders at all levels, monks, nuns, Buddhists and people of all walks of life. The ceremony took place with meaningful activities such as: Silent commemoration of heroic martyrs and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; offering incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs; reading eulogies to commemorate heroic martyrs. At the end of the ceremony, delegates lit up the Vung Tau City Martyrs' Temple with hundreds of shimmering candles - lighting a flame of deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs.

Vung Tau City has more than 11,000 people with revolutionary contributions and their relatives. Of these, more than 2,100 people are receiving monthly allowances. With deep affection, responsibility, and gratitude to families with meritorious services, all levels, sectors, economic - social - religious organizations and each citizen of the city, especially the labor - war invalids - social sector, have turned them into practical actions. These include regularly visiting, encouraging, and helping war invalids, sick soldiers, and families with revolutionary contributions; investing in renovating tombstones, repairing and embellishing martyrs' temples, and memorial steles; building gratitude houses, repairing houses... to help families with meritorious services stabilize their material lives and feel warm in spirit. The memorial ceremony and the lighting of candles and lanterns to commemorate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day is also to light the flame of affection of the Party Committee, government, army and people of Vung Tau City to pay tribute and warm the souls of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their blood and bones for the Fatherland and their homeland. In 2024, the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam" continues to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website   https://happy.vietnam.vn is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over. The contest aims to honor individuals and groups with positive information products, making practical contributions to the propaganda and promotion of a beautiful image of Vietnam to the world . Thereby helping people in the country, compatriots abroad and international friends access authentic images of the country, Vietnamese people, Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights, towards a happy Vietnam. Each contest category (photo and video) has the following prizes and prize values: - 01 Gold Medal: 70,000,000 VND - 02 Silver Medals: 20,000,000 VND - 03 Bronze Medals: 10,000,000 VND - 10 Encouragement Prizes: 5,000,000 VND - 01 most voted work: 5,000,000 VND The winning authors will be invited by the Organizing Committee to attend the Announcement Ceremony and Award Ceremony and Certificate on live television of Vietnam Television.
