The reading culture is spreading and continuing from officers to new recruits at Hon Khoai Border Guard Post.
In particular, the establishment and effective utilization of legal libraries has helped officers and soldiers proactively study and understand regulations, applying them flexibly to practical work, meeting the requirements of managing and protecting the sovereignty and security of maritime borders and islands in the new situation.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Luom, Commander of Hon Khoai Border Guard Station, said: “The unit has identified the development of reading culture, coupled with raising awareness of law compliance, as a regular task. Through this, each officer and soldier develops the habit of self-study and research, improving their capabilities and character to meet the requirements of their assigned tasks.”
Officers and soldiers of Hon Khoai Border Guard Post read books next to the monument "Uncle Ho with Border Guards".
With a proactive and systematic approach, activities in response to Vietnam's Book and Reading Culture Day at the unit have not only remained at the level of a movement, but have also gone into depth, creating positive changes in awareness and actions.
Reading culture is gradually becoming a foundation of knowledge, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive unit, and successfully fulfilling the task of firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland in the face of adversity.
