Sharing about university admissions in 2025, Major Trieu Thanh Dat, chief specialist of the Training Department, Ministry of Public Security, said that in 2025, police schools will enroll students according to three methods: direct admission (for students who won first prize in the national excellent student selection exam, students in the international Olympic team), combined consideration of assessment test scores, foreign language certificates and combined consideration of assessment test scores, high school graduation exam scores.

Major Dat noted that since there are currently only police stations at ward/commune and provincial levels, the Ministry of Public Security has issued instructions for commune-level police stations to receive applications for admission to police schools. Candidates must register to submit their applications to ward/commune police stations before April 15 and complete their applications to meet the preliminary requirements.

"You will go to the police station of the commune or ward (where you are registered for permanent residence) to register. The commune police officer will guide the students in filling out their application, filling out their personal history, and checking the conditions for admission to the People's Police Academy.

This change was made in the context that from March 1, the police force was reorganized into a three-level model: the Ministry of Public Security, provincial police and commune police. 694 district-level police units and nearly 6,000 affiliated teams ceased operations," said Major Dat.

Regarding the assessment test of the Ministry of Public Security this year, there are some adjustments to suit students studying the 2018 general education program (with 4 test codes).

Sharing more about candidates' concerns about the merger and abolition of district level affecting enrollment, Major Dat affirmed: "The Ministry has no policy to change enrollment and currently has quotas for each school and each industry."

The new point compared to last year is that the Police school block considers a combination of international language certificates with assessment tests instead of academic records. It is expected that candidates with IELTS equivalent to 5.5 or higher can participate in the combined admission. Last year, the requirement was IELTS 7.5 for the early admission group.

The structure ensures the rights of candidates. Students should follow the admission regulations of the Ministry and schools to have accurate information."

Military Recruitment 2025: Candidates continue to register for civilian education

Discussing military school enrollment, Colonel Do Thanh Tam, Secretary of the Military Admissions Board, Ministry of National Defense, noted that military schools will only enroll first-choice students.

Candidates who want to prioritize admission to military schools must put their wish to enter military schools in their first wish, other wishes will only be considered for admission to civilian schools.

"In 2025, Military schools are expected to have 7 admission combinations. In addition to the traditional combinations, new admission combinations will be expanded to suit both candidates studying the old 2006 program and the new 2018 program. However, priority will be given to combinations with English subjects," said Colonel Do Thanh Tam.

He also noted that candidates who want to apply to military schools must register and meet the requirements.

In response to candidates' concerns when hearing the news of the "dissolution" of the Military University of Culture and Arts, Colonel Do Thanh Tam affirmed: "The Government has merger policies to optimize the apparatus, however, currently there is no policy to dissolve or stop the operation of the Military University of Culture and Arts.

On the contrary, after many years of stopping civil education enrollment, this year schools are assigned to enroll in civil education. Interested students can feel completely secure in registering to study."
