Teacher calls on everyone to join hands to clean My Khe beach

Mr. Hoang and everyone joined hands to pick up trash and clean the beach.

Accordingly, it has become a habit that locals and tourists when coming to My Khe beach are invited to enjoy free hot milk. This beautiful action of Math teacher Ho Hoang at Son My High School has received the response and cooperation of everyone, from which, everyone is aware of preserving the environment to make the beach cleaner and more beautiful.

Teacher Hoang is currently the leader of the Kind Swimming Group in My Khe, Quang Ngai City. He said: “At first, I was the only one who came up with the idea of this warm cup of milk, which I paid for myself. Everyone was surprised, but after sharing my work a few times, I unexpectedly received a lot of support. Most of the locals and tourists, when I encouraged them, volunteered to pick up trash with me.”

Every morning, instead of doing warm-up exercises before swimming in the sea, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Dao, from Tinh Phong commune, Son Tinh district, goes to collect trash. He walks along My Khe beach, picking up plastic bags, plastic bottles, styrofoam boxes, etc. That is Mr. Dao's positive response since Mr. Hoang mobilized him to clean the beach. "Every morning, I wake up at 4:30, collect trash, do some exercise , swim in the sea, and then have a cup of hot milk. This meaningful activity helps my hometown become greener, cleaner, and more beautiful," Mr. Dao said.

Mr. Hoang Van Thuan, a tourist from Nam Dinh, shared that this was his first time here and he felt that the sea water here was very clear, the sand was clean and the environment was cool. “I have been to many coastal areas but this is the first time I have come to Quang Ngai beach, this place is wonderful, I go swimming twice a day,” said Mr. Thuan.

The image of a man stooping to collect trash, happily encouraging tourists to pick up trash together made many people admire his diligence and noble heart for the community. “Everyone has become closer together, because without this program, everyone would just shower and go home, without any interaction or exchange. Since the program began, everyone has come to drink milk, get to know each other and then pick up trash together, kindness has connected everyone into one. Each person, each person like that, gradually our living environment will become cleaner and more beautiful,” Mr. Hoang shared.
