Since the beginning of August, teacher Nguyen Tri Hanh has been sharing vivid chalk drawings on social media. The works were drawn by Mr. Hanh over the past 5 months on the school board, then photographed and filmed during the process.

Sharing with VietNamNet , Mr. Hanh said that up to now, after more than 5 months of work, he has completed about 5 pastel works, each work is a different story but revolves around the theme of celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day.

“Each painting has its own story and emotion, but the one I like the most is '80 years - I love my Vietnam so much'. In the painting, I used a green background to highlight the image of Uncle Ho with a gentle face but full of leadership spirit, on the right side is the red flag with a yellow star fluttering in the shape of the letter S. To me, this painting is not only a work of art, but also a deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh and the generation of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation,” said Mr. Hanh.

With his talented hands and passionate heart, Mr. Hanh devoted his efforts, time and passion to join the atmosphere towards the important day of the country. The most recent painting is called '80 years - I love my Vietnam so much', the teacher completed after 2 sessions.

Mr. Hanh said that creating these historical paintings is not only to celebrate the country's important holiday but also to educate students about the history, struggles and sacrifices of previous generations to have the country today.

Before that, Mr. Hanh also had many other impressive works. He often chose to paint historical themes, revolutionary soldiers, and heroic images of the country. In addition, the teacher also depicted the beauty of his homeland and nature to create closeness with his students.
The works were drawn by Mr. Hanh in the school's function room, outside of class hours.

What makes Mr. Hanh happiest is that the completed painting has received many compliments and excitement from students. Many students said that they found historical and literary knowledge more familiar, thereby understanding and remembering the lessons longer.
“Not only did they look at and take pictures with the artwork, they were also interested in the topic and asked questions about history. Through the photos and learning about this event, I also introduced and explained many related details to them,” said Mr. Hanh.

Mr. Nguyen Tri Hanh is currently an art teacher at Hermann Gmeiner Vinh High School, Nghe An Province. In addition to these paintings, he has painted about 500 other works about stories and events, following the flow of current events.
