On the final competition day (November 10) of the WBPF 2024 World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship in the Maldives, Vietnamese bodybuilders competed in three events and achieved positive results.
In the women's classical bodybuilding category, athlete Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, who is 1.65m tall, successfully defended her No. 1 position won last year in Korea.

Competing in the women's classical bodybuilding category over 1.65m tall, 49-year-old athlete Le Thi Huong Giang stepped onto the highest podium for the first time, becoming the oldest Vietnamese athlete to win the world championship in an individual event.
Her achievement was even more brilliant when just a few dozen minutes later, Huong Giang competed in the Ladies Athletic Physique event and brought home another silver medal.

Thus, after 3 days of fierce competition at the 2024 World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship with over 300 athletes from 41 countries and territories, the Vietnamese team won a total of 10 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 11 bronze medals.
Along with winning first place in the women's team and second place in the men's team, the Vietnamese team ranked first overall for the first time.
Head of delegation Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh received the gold cup for the women's team.
This achievement far surpasses the results achieved in 2023 (8 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 4 bronze medals, second place in men's team and second place in women's team), concluding the most successful tour of Vietnamese bodybuilding in the history of the world championship.
