Rules of the Press Photo Contest "Vietnam on the Journey of Innovation"

I. Organizing agency

- Organizing agency : Nhan Dan Newspaper

- Coordinating agency : Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists

II. Purpose and meaning

The contest aims to inspire creativity, while recording and spreading authentic images of the country's innovation process in the fields of economy , culture, society, science-technology, environment, defense, etc.

Through the creative lens of professional and amateur photographers, the contest contributes to vividly reflecting a modern, innovative, humane, sustainably developed and rich in national identity Vietnam.

III. Contestants

- All professional and amateur photographers nationwide.

- Members of the Organizing Committee, Jury and Secretariat are not allowed to participate in the contest.

IV. Contest content

The contest focuses on reflecting Vietnam's comprehensive innovation journey through images of people, communities and living spaces:

Reflecting changes in rural, mountainous, border, and island areas through infrastructure development, production, life, community tourism,education , healthcare, and new rural construction.

Recording changes in urban space: planning, transportation, green and smart cities, urban life in the digital age.

Honoring the image of Vietnamese people in the renovation period: workers, intellectuals, armed forces, farmers, scientists , teachers, businessmen, young people... with the spirit of creativity, adaptation, dedication and integration...

V. Photo submission form

- Color or black and white photos; single photos or photo series.

- Each author can submit up to 10 works.

+ Single photo : Each photo is an independent work.

+Photo series : Each photo series is a work (including 6 to 10 photos). The photo series must have an introduction (no more than 100 words); there must be a mockup of the entire photo series. The author must number the component photos and caption each photo (the website that receives the photos will have specific instructions when the author submits the photos) .

VI. Work specifications

-Digital image file in JPG format, capacity from 3MB to 5MB, resolution 300 dpi.

-Do not write captions, signatures, borders or any identifying marks on the photo.

- The work must be created using realistic methods, collages are not accepted.

- Works created or processed using artificial intelligence (AI) technology are not accepted.

VII. Regulations on works

1. Photos must be taken from 2022 to present. The Organizing Committee encourages new works.

2. Photos that violate public morals or are contrary to the rules will be disqualified.

3. The Organizing Committee has the right to use the author's photo and name for propaganda and promotion on publications of Nhan Dan Newspaper without profit purposes.

4. The winning author or exhibitor must provide the original file upon request. If not sent within 48 hours, the prize will be canceled.

5. Authors register with their real names (according to their ID card or passport). If using a stage name, their real names must be clearly stated next to it.

VIII. Rights and responsibilities

1. Benefits

- The winning author receives a Cup, Certificate and prize money from the Organizing Committee.

- Award-winning works or works selected for exhibition will be granted a Certificate and scored at the regional level according to the Regulations of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

- Works published in Nhan Dan Newspaper publications will be paid royalties according to regulations.

2. Responsibility

- Authors are responsible for the copyright of their works, related rights and personal income tax obligations (if any). The Organizing Committee is not responsible for any disputes related to copyright of works. The Organizing Committee is allowed to remove works that violate the rules before, during and after the Contest.

- Submitting photos means accepting all rules.

IX. Time of organization

Receive photos : from June 28, 2025 to January 31, 2026.
Summary and award ceremony : on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the first issue of Nhan Dan Newspaper (March 11, 2026).

X. Prize structure

1 Special Prize : 50,000,000 VND, Cup, Certificate of the Organizing Committee; Gold Medal, Certificate of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
2 A Prizes : each prize includes 30,000,000 VND, Cup, Certificate of the Organizing Committee; Gold Medal, Certificate of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
3 Second Prizes : 20,000,000 VND each, Cup, Certificate of the Organizing Committee; Silver Medal, Certificate of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
5 Third Prizes : each prize is 10,000,000 VND, Cup, Certificate of the Organizing Committee; Bronze Medal, Certificate of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
10 Consolation Prizes : 5,000,000 VND each, Certificate from the Organizing Committee and Certificate from the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

· Additional awards for single photos and photo essays.
