6 more localities finalize school opening schedule for 2023 school year

The People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province has just issued the 2023-2024 school year plan for preschooleducation , general education and continuing education applied in the province.

Accordingly, students of all levels will return to school on August 28, except for first graders who will return to school on August 21, and the new school year will begin on September 5.

The plan is to end semester I before January 15, 2024 and complete the education plan for semester II before May 25, 2024. The school year ends before May 31, 2024.

Ninh Binh province also issued a new school year schedule, in which students across the province will return to school on August 29, except for grade 1, which will start one week earlier from August 22.

After the opening day, students officially enter Semester I (from September 6, 2023 to January 13, 2024). Semester II starts on January 16, 2024 and ends before May 25, 2024. The school year ends before May 31, 2024.

According to Dien Bien's plan, this year, preschool, general education and continuing education levels will return to school on September 1. Grade 1 will return to school on August 28. The first day of school is September 5.

All levels of education are expected to end Semester I on January 12, 2024. Semester II will complete education on May 24, 2024.

The province also clearly stipulates that for continuing education, grades 9 and 12 have 32 weeks of actual study. Semester I will end on January 14, 2024. Semester II will end on May 25, 2024. For grades 6, 7, 8 and 10, 11, semester I will end on January 14, 2024, and semester II will end on May 25, 2024.

Preschool, general education, and continuing education students in Kien Giang province will return to school on August 28 and the new school year will begin on September 5.

The province also allows localities to organize the opening ceremony in advance on September 3 or 4, 2023 for disadvantaged, border and island areas. Particularly for first graders, they will return to school on August 21, 2023.

Bac Giang students are scheduled to return to school at all levels on August 29, with grade 1 students returning on August 22. The first semester plan ends before January 15, 2024, and the second semester is completed before May 25, 2024, ending the school year before May 31, 2024.

The People's Committee of Ha Giang province also issued a decision on the planning framework for students in the whole province to return to school on August 28. Grade 1 students will return to school on August 21.

According to the school year plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, students nationwide will return to school 1 week earlier than the opening day, and for first graders, the earliest school return date is 2 weeks earlier.
Localities must finish the first semester before January 15, 2024; complete the second semester education plan before May 25 and end the school year before May 31.
The Ministry also stipulates the time to complete the recognition of primary and secondary school programs before June 30, 2024. Complete enrollment of first-level classes before July 31, 2024.
Localities can start school no more than 15 days earlier than the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training. The school year plan framework issued by the Ministry of Education and Training is applied to public and private schools.
