In preparation for the 2024/25 National Football Super Cup - THACO Cup as well as the new season, Nam Dinh Blue Steel Club had a two-week training trip in Korea, where they had victories against Suwon FC and FC Seoul.

According to coach Vu Hong Viet, this is the result of careful investment in both physical and professional aspects, providing an important opportunity to help players improve their physical condition and get used to the intensity of international competition.

The 46-year-old strategist highly appreciated the team's spirit of concentration and efforts, especially when the Super Cup match against CAHN is approaching.

During the summer transfer period, the Board of Directors of Nam Dinh Steel Blue invested heavily in strengthening the squad. A Mit (from Thanh Hoa), Dang Van Toi ( Hai Phong ) and three foreign players Njabulo Blom, Kyle Hudlin, Mahmoud Eid were brought to Thien Truong.

At 32, Palestinian international Mahmoud Eid has a wealth of experience having played in Sweden, Denmark, Indonesia, Qatar, Bahrain and Thailand. He can play as a winger or as a striker.

Another notable name is Kyle Hudlin, an English striker with an impressive height of 2m01. In the 2023/24 season, he played for Huddersfield Town in the Championship (equivalent to the 2nd division of England), then moved to Burton Albion in League One (3rd division) on loan.

Next season, Nam Dinh Blue Steel will compete in 4 different fronts, including: V.League, National Cup, AFC Champions League Two and ASEAN Club Championship. They need a strong and quality squad to serve their ambition of going as far as possible in every arena.

The new season will begin for Nam Dinh Blue Steel on August 9 with the National Super Cup match against CAHN. Coach Vu Hong Viet said that this is an important match, opening the new season, so the team is determined to make a good start. "For us, the desire to win is even greater when playing at home at Thien Truong Stadium," he said.
