With only two days left until the official start of the 2023 High School Graduation Examination, in addition to preparing their health and knowledge, candidates should pay attention to the items that are allowed and not allowed in the examination room.
To ensure that the 2023 high school graduation examination is conducted safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations, the Ministry of Education and Training has issued Circular No. 06/2023/TT-BGDĐT amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulations on the high school graduation examination.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training only allows candidates to bring the following into the examination room: pens, pencils, compasses, erasers, rulers, calculators; pocket calculators without text editing functions or memory cards; and the Atlas of Vietnamese Geography for the Geography exam (without any markings or additional writing).
Furthermore, this year, the Ministry of Education and Training did not specify a list of pocket calculators as in previous years, but only required calculators "without word processing functions".
Notably, candidates are not allowed to bring any type of audio or video recording device that only records information but cannot play back or view the recordings, and cannot transmit or receive audio or video signals directly without other supporting equipment.
At the same time, the following items are not allowed in the examination room: carbon paper, correction fluid, documents, telephones, communication devices or devices containing information that could be used to cheat during the exam, smart watches, weapons, explosives, flammable substances, and alcoholic beverages.
Any violation of the regulations will result in the candidate being suspended from the exam. A suspended candidate must submit their exam paper, question paper, and scratch paper to the invigilator, must leave the examination room immediately after the decision is made, and may only leave the examination area after the exam session has ended. Candidates suspended from the exam in any given year will have their results for all exams and subjects in that year's examination canceled.
