Parents anxiously wait for their children to take the exam

( Hanoi - Thuy Hang): Under the early summer sun, parents still stand quietly outside the exam sites to wait for their children. That presence is the hope of parents, a silent encouragement sent to the candidates participating in the 2025 National High School Exam.

At Trung Vuong Secondary School, Ms. Tran Le Thu (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi) waited in the sun for her child for two days of exams. To accompany her child in this exam, she took two days off to take her daughter to the exam, taking care of her from meals to sleep.

At 6:15 a.m., Ms. Tam was ready to be at Nhan Chinh High School - where her son would complete the final exam of the 2025 National High School Exam. She and her son had prepared for this exam 3 years ago, together they researched his wishes and "rewarded" him with a car if he passed his first wish. But above all, she just hoped that her son would be calm, confident, perform at his usual level and complete the exam.

Ms. Huyen and Ms. Hoa are not the only parents who stay to wait for their children in front of Nhan Chinh High School. At 7:30 a.m., in her office clothes, Ms. Huyen is still standing in front of the school gate. Taking her child to the National High School Exam for the first time, worried that her child will forget his belongings and papers, she still waits until her husband comes to "take over the shift" before rushing off to work.

Meanwhile, this is the third time Ms. Hoa has taken her son to take the exam. This is her third friend. "But every time I am still nervous and worried" - she shared. Ms. Hoa has booked a plane ticket in advance to "reward" her son after completing the exam. Her son has his first choice to study Information Technology at the Polytechnic University and is estimated to have scored 8 - 8.5 points in Math.

After 12 years of studying, now is the time for candidates to reap the rewards. Parents who take their children to the exam only hope that their children will do well on the test, pass this exam, and get into their first choice. Arms waving to their children, hurried instructions "calm down and do the test", "read the questions carefully" resounded across the sunny road. They could not enter the exam room with their children, but still stood waiting outside the gate, as a way to accompany and silently give strength to the candidates to complete the most important exam of their lives.

Police help candidates

(Da Lat - Thai Lam): On the morning of June 27, Traffic Police Team No. 1 (under the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province) promptly assisted a candidate who had a traffic accident to get to the graduation exam location on time. During the past two exam days, Traffic Police Team No. 1 in Da Lat increased its force, both ensuring traffic order and safety, and actively assisting candidates who went to the wrong location, were late, or had problems on the way to the exam location.

(Ca Mau - Tan Loc): During the graduation exam days, in addition to ensuring traffic safety and maintaining security and order, the Traffic Police force of Ca Mau Provincial Police left a good impression in the hearts of the people by actively supporting and transporting candidates to the exam locations on time.

On the first day of the exam, June 26, the Traffic Police proactively used specialized vehicles to support 3 candidates (including 2 candidates in U Minh town and 1 candidate in Thoi Binh town) who had difficulty with transportation to get to the exam location on time.

A typical case is Quach Huynh Gia Thao, a 12C4 student at Thoi Binh High School, whose vehicle broke down on the road, so the Traffic Police team mobilized a specialized car to take him to the exam site in time, helping him complete the exam in full.

Similarly, Nguyen Trong Tinh, a 12C2 student at U Minh High School, overslept in the morning due to over-studying but was promptly assisted by traffic police officers who took him to the exam site on time.

Tinh also wrote a handwritten letter to thank the beautiful, dedicated and timely actions of the Traffic Police force of Ca Mau Province Police for helping him overcome difficulties at an important moment after 12 years of studying.

More than 8,300 candidates dropped out of the high school graduation exam

On the morning of June 27, candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program took an optional exam consisting of 2 subjects from the subjects studied in grade 12. Candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program took a combined exam of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, more than 1.15 million candidates registered before the exam. On the morning of June 27, 99.3% of candidates arrived at the exam site, with more than 8,300 candidates absent.

For candidates taking the exam under the 2018 General Education Program, by the end of this morning, they have completed the High School Graduation Exam. Because each candidate will only take 4 exams including 2 compulsory subjects and 2 elective subjects.

Of which, 2 compulsory subjects will be tested on June 26, 2 elective subjects will be tested in 1 morning. The testing plan according to the new program will shorten the testing time and the number of subjects compared to the testing plan of the old program.
