Tan Thanh Town (Bac Tan Uyen District): Practical activities for young workers

In 2024, the Project of Solidarity, gathering young workers and young laborers in Tan Thanh town (Bac Tan Uyen district) was promoted by the town's project organizing committee to promptly care for the lives of young workers and laborers far from home.

The Organizing Committee of the Project of Solidarity, Gathering Young Workers and Workers of Tan Thanh town gave gifts to workers at Han Khang boarding house.

Building branches

The establishment of branches of youth workers and female workers in boarding houses was implemented by the Organizing Committee of the Project on Solidarity, Gathering Youth Workers and Young Workers in Tan Thanh Town; surveyed and implemented by the Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union of the town and the Women's Union of the town. The establishment of branches aims to create favorable conditions for young workers and female workers to have opportunities for activities, entertainment, access to the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and related rights and obligations.

Last week, the Organizing Committee of the project of Solidarity, gathering of young workers and young laborers in the town held a ceremony to establish the Youth Union and the Han Khang Women Workers Association in Ward 4. At the launching ceremony, the organizing committee of the project approved the decision to establish the association, the decision to recognize the executive board, the operating regulations and the direction of the association. In this program, the town leaders directed the Women's Union of the town and the Vietnam Youth Union of the town to pay attention to and orient the associations, organize regular activities, propagate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the Youth Union members to provide timely support and assistance.

Ms. Doan Thi Anh Tuyet, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of the Mobilization Block, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Project on Solidarity, Gathering of Young Workers and Young Workers in the town, said that in order to improve the effectiveness of the project, from the beginning of the year, the organizing committee of the town has developed a plan to organize the implementation of the Project on Solidarity, Gathering of Young Workers and Young Workers in Binh Duong province for the period 2021-2025 in the town and deployed key contents and targets to the branches and associations. On the other hand, the organizing committee advised the town People's Committee to strengthen the organizing committee to implement the project and hold quarterly meetings to evaluate the results of activities, advantages and difficulties in the process of performing tasks and propose opinions, deploy targets and plans to organize key activities.

Practical care

In recent times, the work of uniting and gathering young workers in Tan Thanh town has received the attention of Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches and organizations in the locality with many practical activities being implemented, serving the legitimate interests and needs of young workers.

For example, at the program to establish the Youth Union and the Han Khang Women Workers' Association in Ward 4, the project's organizing committee presented 17 gifts to young workers far from home with a total amount of 5.1 million VND. The activity of giving gifts to workers living in rented accommodation with difficult circumstances was also carried out by the town's project organizing committee during the association's activities, the association's establishment program, and holidays and Tet to promptly encourage workers facing difficulties.

In 2024, the town's project organizing committee had many activities to take care of young workers and their children, such as programs responding to Vietnamese Workers' Month and Binh Duong Province's Young Workers' Week; coordinating with the town's health station to organize medical examinations and health consultations; organizing "Pink Journey to take care of young workers' children", "Pink Holiday" program, Mid-Autumn Festival, Khmer New Year... Through programs and activities, the project organizing committee gave many gifts to young workers and children of young workers in difficult circumstances.

During the association meetings, the town's project organizing committee also strengthened legal support, promoted local activities, promoted laws and life knowledge for workers. The contents promoted included: Prevention of prostitution and drugs; vigilance, prevention of fraud in cyberspace; ensuring traffic safety; propaganda of labor laws, social insurance, etc. Not only that, the town's Women's Union together with the town's Youth Union also informed about the activities of the union and mobilized workers to participate in maintaining security and order in the boarding house area, complying with local regulations; solidarity, mutual love, mutual assistance, helping each other in life.

In addition, the town project organizing committee also focuses on understanding the thoughts, aspirations, and ideological situation of the Youth Union members at the branches. In the programs, activities, and branch meetings, the town project organizing committee, together with the Women's Union and the Youth Union of the town, listen to the thoughts, aspirations, discuss, answer, and record the difficulties and problems of workers when living and working in the locality to promptly advise competent agencies to resolve and support.

The project organizing committee and the town’s organizations have also flexibly organized recreational activities at the Youth Union Association of the boarding house, taking care of the cultural and spiritual life of the workers. From the activities of the town’s project organizing committee, more and more young workers have been attracted to participate…
