Thien Phu and Doan Dai Hoa decided to use the championship prize money to support people in the North during the storm and flood.

Thien Phu started out as a music teacher at an elementary school. Because of her passion for singing, she registered to try her hand at many competitions, receiving several awards such as top 3 Sao Mai Mien Nam (chamber music), third prize Hat ve thoi Hoa Do 2014 , first prize Voice of Television Binh Thuan 2014 ... Thien Phu graduated from Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music in 2016, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Music Teaching Theory and Methodology.

Recently, Thien Phu returned to the Vietnam Impression contest, becoming the overall champion. This achievement is considered a "sweet fruit" for the female singer after 10 years of working. Sharing with us about this milestone, the singer from Binh Thuan confided: "This is an important award for my career. Singer Doan Dai Hoa and I decided to use all the prize money to support our compatriots in the North who are affected by storms and floods. We will contribute whatever we can."

Before being known as a singer, Thien Phu was a music teacher.

Talking about her career, Thien Phu said that when she switched to singing, her family did not object but still wanted their daughter to stick with teaching. At that time, she "made a deal" with her parents that if she did not succeed, she would return to the podium. "Music is my life. As long as I can devote myself to my passion, I feel like I have lived the right life. That is the reason I chose to pursue this path," she expressed.

Despite her determination, the singer from Binh Thuan admitted that there was a time when she wanted to put her passion for singing aside. That was when Thien Phu went to the Philippines to study English. When she returned, she had difficulty connecting with show organizers, so she thought about quitting the music industry. "I was disoriented, and there were few shows, so I thought about leaving everything to go abroad. But after a while, I overcame that period, and everything returned to normal," she recounted.

Thien Phu strives to pursue traditional revolutionary music

Although she can sing many genres of music, for Thien Phu, traditional revolutionary music is still her forte, helping her feel more confident when standing on stage. The female singer admits that this is a "difficult problem" that not many people choose to pursue. "From the first days of having a connection with music, I never thought I would become a star. I only knew that singing and performing was enough to satisfy my passion. I chose to follow this path, although it is slow but stable in the long term," she confided.

According to the singer from Binh Thuan, everyone wants to be famous. However, Thien Phu does not choose to trade or chase after unreal values, but only wants to focus on her career. “Financially, I do not think I pursue this music genre to make money. The salary of singers singing traditional revolutionary music is usually not very high, but it still depends on the reputation of each person. That is also the motivation for me to compete in Dau An Viet . Because before that, I sang for 10 years but had nothing to affirm myself. When I am recognized, maybe there will be fate, opening up more opportunities to participate in performances, and everything will be better," she hopes.

Talking about the assets accumulated after 10 years of working, Thien Phu admitted that in the past, she "invested all her singing income in herself". Looking back, she realized that she needed to build a foundation to help her life become more stable. "In 2023, I was able to buy a car. This year, I tried to buy a house in the form of... getting help from everyone. In the near future, I will strive harder to stabilize my life", she expressed.
