In 2023, Yahya applied to enter ZC – Egypt’s leading public higher education , research and innovation institution. To become the youngest student at the school, he had to take math, physics, chemistry, biology, and English tests equivalent to the final level of high school and pass an interview with the school board.
Professor Salah Obayya, general manager of ZC, said: "Despite his age and educational background, Yahya met the exam criteria, becoming the youngest student to pass the exam.
The ZC entrance exam is so difficult for senior high school students that they struggle to pass. Yahya is a genius for passing the ZC entrance exam at the age of 12."
