Many localities need Vietnamese sales points

Ms. Vo Thu Thuy (Xuan Ngoc village, Tam Anh Nam commune, Nui Thanh) - Director of Tam Anh Nam Agricultural - Medicinal Cooperative said that the cooperative's 3-star OCOP product of freeze-dried cordyceps is available in provinces and cities across the country but its competitiveness is not high.

Even in the “homeland” of Nui Thanh, freeze-dried cordyceps is still not widely known. Therefore, the Cooperative hopes that the People’s Committee of Nui Thanh district will build a center to display and sell OCOP products of the district or build Vietnamese sales points to promote products and expand the consumption market.

Mr. Ngo Duc An - Vice Chairman of Nui Thanh District People's Committee said that in recent times, the district has always supported OCOP entities and rural industrial goods to connect supply and demand, trade to penetrate deeper into the market.

Regarding the construction of Vietnamese sales points, we have to wait for the Department of Industry and Trade. The district is researching, surveying, and selecting a location to build a center to display and sell OCOP products and rural industrial goods in the coming time to expand the market.

In Thang Binh district, for a long time, the display and sale point of OCOP and rural industrial products of the district in Ha Lam town was not operating due to lack of proper organization.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Thang Binh district assigned the Economic - Infrastructure Department and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the district to connect with businesses to deploy on a larger scale, arrange a variety of goods and put into operation next September.

Built the project...

Implementing the project to develop the domestic market associated with the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", the Ministry of Industry and Trade has deployed the model "Vietnamese Point of Sale" for the period 2021 - 2025.

Up to now, the output of goods consumption and revenue of enterprises have increased significantly; people know more about goods produced in Vietnam; promote production and consumption, improve economic efficiency, and form the habit of using Vietnamese goods.

To replicate this model, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requires relevant sectors of localities to regularly inspect and supervise business units to avoid the situation of selling poor quality goods mixed with genuine goods for profit, causing loss of trust among the people...

Up to now, Quang Nam has not yet implemented the Vietnamese point of sale model. Ms. Do Thi Hien - Head of Trade Management Department (Department of Industry and Trade) said that she has recently developed a project for Vietnamese points of sale, waiting for the Ministry of Industry and Trade to approve for implementation in 2025.

According to Ms. Hien, the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” has had a positive impact on the consumption of Quang Nam people. However, the distribution system of Vietnamese goods in the province has not really received attention. Therefore, the Department of Industry and Trade has developed a project on Vietnamese goods points of sale to support businesses in distributing goods from production areas to consumers in the province.

“Building Vietnamese sales points in Quang Nam is necessary to help consumers access a wide variety of Vietnamese products, ensuring quality and reasonable prices,” said Ms. Hien.

According to Mr. Le Vu Thuong - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Quang Nam proposed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade agree to deploy 2 Vietnamese sales points in Quang Nam. The provincial industry and trade sector commits that at Vietnamese sales points, goods will meet high quality standards, ensure safety, and at the same time organize product promotion to consumers...

“Quang Nam selects localities with tourism potential to deploy Vietnamese sales points, thereby promoting and consuming Vietnamese goods, especially handicrafts and Quang Nam specialties. When the Ministry of Industry and Trade approves the project, the industry and trade sector will deploy Vietnamese sales points in 2025,” said Mr. Thuong.

When opening Vietnamese points of sale, attracting a large number of local consumers and tourists to shop, retail sales are expected to increase significantly. Thereby contributing to the effective implementation of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
