On October 10, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province sent an official dispatch to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) regarding Binh Thuan Club's request not to participate in the 2023 National First Division tournament.
Official dispatch No. 2693/SVHTTDL-QLTDTT clearly states: " Due to the short preparation time for the new season and the Project to socialize Binh Thuan football team to switch to the model of a Football Joint Stock Company (According to the current Professional Football Regulations) has not been approved yet, there are still some difficulties, especially regarding funding and the formation of a football organization operating under the Enterprise Law".
Binh Thuan Club submitted an application to stop competing in the First Division.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province proposed the following plan: " Based on Clause 26, Section VIII of the 2023/2024 National First Division Regulations and Clause 5, Article 7 of the Vietnam Professional Football Regulations, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposes that the Vietnam Football Federation allow Binh Thuan Club to withdraw its name, not participate in the 2023/2024 National First Division, and register to compete in the 2024 National Second Division ."
However, Binh Thuan Club's proposal is unlikely to be accepted. If they withdraw from the tournament at this time, Binh Thuan Club will have to move down to compete in the National Third Division.
Binh Thuan Football has a good record when ranking 5th in the 2023 season. Even if it has a good financial foundation as well as neatly resolves the backstage story, Binh Thuan Club is completely capable of winning a medal.
Binh Thuan FC is facing financial difficulties. After the 2023 season ended, some of the team’s players said they were owed many bonuses.
