Authorities and people join hands to reinforce the left dike of the Thuong River.
Along with that, the officer on duty of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention ( Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development ) confirmed that the overflow incident occurred at the Tien Luc dike line.
A dike or a dike is a dike that protects a separate area outside the main dike. The dike is usually much lower than the main dike. This type of dike usually only resists flood water levels on the river at level 2. Above level 2, it often overflows or is actively allowed by the locality to overflow.
Through information with the Head of Bac Ninh Dike Sub-Department, Mr. Pham Duc Luan, Head of the Department of Dike Management and Natural Disaster Prevention, said that due to the floodwater from upstream in Lang Son rushing too quickly, some sections of the Thuong dike in Yen The district overflowed. Currently, the forces are preventing the overflow, so the information about the dike breaking is incorrect.
The right dike of Thuong River, the dike directly preventing floods of Thuong River, has a total length of nearly 60 km, of which 43.8 km is level III dike, the rest is level IV dike (right dike of Thuong Ba Tong).
