Not only was it confirmed by the film crew, but many prestigious Hollywood newspapers, such as Deadline, reported on the global premiere of "Flip Side 7".
Deadline emphasized that through the distributor 3388 Films, "Flip Side 7" will be shown in the North American market and 11 other countries including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. "Flip Side 7" also became the first Vietnamese film to be shown simultaneously in 3 continents.
In the North American market, "Lat mat 7" was released right on Father's Day week, an extremely meaningful occasion for audiences everywhere to enjoy with their families the touching, authentic footage of Mrs. Hai and her son.
Deadline also confirmed that Lat Mat is the most successful franchise in the history of Vietnamese cinema. In particular, "Lat Mat 7" achieved the 3rd highest-grossing film of all time in Vietnam and is still in the top of the highest-selling films of the day even though it has entered its 5th week of screening.
With the ambition to bring his "brainchild" to major markets abroad, Ly Hai hopes to spread the warmth of family to Vietnamese audiences living far from home and family, no matter where they are, their love for their homeland and loved ones is always full.
On the other hand, the overseas release will help "Lat mat 7" improve its revenue performance, reaching new impressive record milestones, not just stopping at the top 3 of all time.
"Lat mat 7" officially premiered in the international market from June 14. Meanwhile, the film is still showing in theaters nationwide and as of the morning of June 1, the film has a revenue of 457 billion VND. The film is classified as K, so children under 13 can watch it when accompanied by an adult.
According to the Box Office Mojo platform, as of April 4, the film "Mai" is ranked 17th on the list of highest-grossing films in the world in 2024. The film earned 22.24 million USD, equivalent to about 556 billion VND, of which about 520 billion VND came from the domestic market. In the international market, the film earned over 1 million USD.
Will "Lat mat 7" internationally have as good results as Tran Thanh's "Mai"?
