The Drug Administration of Vietnam has requested all units nationwide to recall the entire batch of 0.9% Sodium Chloride (registration number 893100060724), batch number 10370725, manufactured on July 14, 2025, expiry date January 14, 2028, produced by Pharmedic Company.
The reason for the recall is that, according to the testing facility's report, the batch of 0.9% sodium chloride eye drops mentioned above failed to meet quality standards regarding clarity, violating level 3 regulations.
Medical facilities and users of the recalled drug batch must cease prescribing, selling, dispensing, and using the drug, and return the medication to the supplier. The 0.9% Sodium Chloride eye and nose drops manufactured by Pharmedic Company are advertised as containing sodium chloride as the main ingredient, used for rinsing the eyes and nose, and as an adjunct treatment for nasal congestion, runny nose, and allergic rhinitis; the product is suitable for infants.
This product is also sold in many pharmacies and hospitals and is used by many people.
