The valedictorian of the second round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's aptitude test scored 1,133 points.

On June 5, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the results of the second round of the 2023 capacity assessment exam.

In this second round of the competency assessment exam, there were 109 candidates with more than 1,000 points. The candidate with the highest score was 1,133 points (on a scale of 1,200).

According to Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the second round of the 2023 competency assessment exam had more than 42,000 candidates taking the exam out of a total of more than 44,000 registered candidates (reaching a rate of 96%). Of these, more than 28,500 candidates took the first round of the exam.

The score distribution of the second round of the exam is almost the same as the score distribution of the first round of the exam with the average score of candidates being 650.4 points.

The results of the analysis of the discrimination of the second round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test show that the test has a high ability to classify candidates; most of the questions are in the group of questions with good and very good discrimination; the discrimination of the test is in accordance with the designed test structure.

"In the second round of this year's exam, more than 60% of the candidates took part in the first round and the results of these candidates did not change much compared to the previous round. This shows that the exam is highly stable," said Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh.

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh added that, in total, for both rounds of exams in 2023, there will be more than 100,000 candidates taking the exam. The score distribution of candidates in the two rounds of competency assessment exams (using the highest exam result of the candidate if taking both rounds) has a standard and widespread distribution, demonstrating a high ability to classify candidates, which is favorable for admission.

From June 5, candidates can look up their exam scores on the website https://thinangluc.vnuhcm.edu.vn.

It is expected that from June 12, the certificate of competency assessment test results will be sent to candidates by post (by registered mail) to the contact address that the candidates have previously registered.

The 2023 competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University attracted 91 educational institutions to register to use the results of this exam for admission.

After 2 rounds of exams in 21 provinces and cities, nearly 38,000 candidates have registered for admission on the portal of Ho Chi Minh City National University with more than 160,000 wishes.

Candidates can still register to add or adjust their wishes until June 10. After this date, Ho Chi Minh City National University will compile data and transfer information of candidates registering for admission to each unit participating in the admission registration system using the results of the competency assessment exam.
