According to orchard owners' forecasts, this year's peak fruit season will fall around June, later than in previous years. Rambutan, the main fruit crop with a large area dedicated to ripening, its vibrant red color and geographical indication status promise to continue attracting tourists, creating a bustling summer. Although the peak fruit season hasn't arrived yet, some orchards growing fruits like star fruit, guava, mango, pomelo, and mangosteen have already opened their doors to visitors, offering them the chance to enjoy local specialties and traditional dishes. This is an effort by farmers to diversify fruit-growing areas to develop eco- tourism in their orchards early on.
Flexibly coordinate with gardens that welcome visitors early.
As one of the few fruit orchards that welcomes visitors very early, even though rambutan hasn't reached its peak ripeness yet, Mr. Tran Quoc Phong, owner of Ut Tieu Fruit Orchard (in Binh Loc ward), has been welcoming visitors since the beginning of May. Sharing the reason for being able to welcome visitors so early, Mr. Phong said: He proactively sought out and partnered with several orchards of mulberries, guavas, mangoes, and pomelos to bring visitors for tours and experiences. Along with the orchard experiences in partnership with local households, Ut Tieu Fruit Orchard also offers specialty dishes such as: chicken salad with mangosteen, grilled free-range chicken, crab hotpot… and various fruits sold directly from the orchard such as pomelos, durians, avocados, jackfruit… enough for visitors to both tour, experience, and enjoy local fruit specialties right in the orchard.

Mr. Phong shared: “With prices ranging from 79,000 to 119,000 VND per ticket, visitors can choose a combo tour of 2-3 orchards depending on the price. Upon arrival, visitors are free to explore, take photos, pick and enjoy the fruit without time limits. If visitors wish to buy fruit as souvenirs, the orchard owners can pick and sell it at reasonable prices. The orchard owners who partner with me must commit to providing attentive service and not overcharging visitors for fruit. Therefore, even though it's not yet the peak rambutan season, Ut Tieu Fruit Orchard still welcomes a large number of visitors on weekends.”
