The meeting took place in both direct and online formats with the participation of the Fund's Vice Presidents, Standing Members, Secretariat, experts, and representatives of the Department of International Cooperation ( Ministry of Health ).

At the meeting, delegates received information from Global Fund experts on the Draft assessment report and planning to strengthen the position of CCM Vietnam.
The report is based on the following methods: Analyzing current administrative and health reform practices; Reviewing the performance of CCM Vietnam in four areas of management, supervision, participation and strengthening position; Conducting in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including representatives of the Government , social organizations and development partners; Organizing consultation workshops to validate the results.
Through this, many results were achieved in terms of operational efficiency, professional implementation activities; significant improvement in supervision with many meetings and field visits; feedback mechanisms were implemented regularly.

The evaluation report noted: Strong and effective leadership of the Deputy Minister of Health - Chairman of CCM Vietnam, closely coordinating with 2 Vice Chairmen; Active participation of social and community organizations, especially the Vice Chairmen from the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) sector - for the first time in the history of CCM Vietnam; Professional CCM Secretariat team through UNDP from July 2023 ensuring effective operations.
The Fund's Vice Presidents and delegates contributed and discussed a number of contents, including: Plan for the location of the CCM Secretariat in the next 3 years as requested by the Global Fund; Report on the Draft Operation Plan of CCM Vietnam in 2026.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Deputy Minister of Health, President of CCM Vietnam, spoke to acknowledge the responsible cooperation of members and coordinating organizations to achieve unified results in monitoring the implementation of Global Fund projects and coordinating AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria prevention activities in Vietnam by 2025.
The Deputy Minister of Health, Chairman of CCM Vietnam requested the Secretariat to coordinate with the Global Fund expert group to review the Draft Report in the spirit of the functions and tasks of CCM Vietnam; Information analysis, comments and assessments need to be strict, comprehensive, and consistent with the contents of the Fund's Operating Regulations and the actual coordination and supervision activities.
President of CCM Vietnam Nguyen Thi Lien Huong also requested: The Secretariat to transfer the content of the Draft assessment report as well as the Fund's work plan for 2026 to the Standing Committee members for research, constructive contributions, supplementation and revision.
"All of this is aimed at further improving the quality of operations of CCM Vietnam towards a safe world, proactively preventing and fighting epidemics early, and all people need health care," said Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong.
