According to Saint Paul General Hospital, on the occasion of its 30th anniversary of operations in Vietnam and its 7-year journey of cooperation with the hospital, Children Action has opened up many new opportunities for children with mobility disabilities. From 2018 to present, more than 12,000 children have been screened and treated; more than 400 surgeries have been performed at the hospital, helping thousands of children return to school and integrate into life - things that seem far away for many families.
Not only supporting surgery, Children Action also focuses on professional training. Many young doctors of Xanh Pon go to France to study and access advanced orthopedic techniques, while continuous training programs at the hospital help domestic doctors master many difficult techniques such as bone cancer surgery in children, limb lengthening, pediatric spine surgery or handling complex congenital malformations.

Many families from all over the Northern provinces brought their children with motor disabilities here for examination and surgery.
On November 21, 2025, doctors from Saint Paul General Hospital and international experts from Children Action examined dozens of cases of motor defects. Notably, in this program, many children with motor defects (mainly limb length discrepancies) will undergo surgery right at the hospital.
Sharing with us, Ms. Phan Thi The (Tam Dao commune, Phu Tho province) brought her son Pham Duc Lam (5 years old) with a leg deformity due to congenital absence of the tibia to the hospital to wait for examination. She said that since birth, her son was disabled, so when he grew up, his right leg had to limp on his toes, which looked very pitiful.
The young mother added that when she learned about the examination and surgery program, her family immediately took her child to the hospital. All family members placed high hopes on the doctors, hoping that her child would have a normal life like other children.

Doctors from Children Action and Saint Paul General Hospital examine children with motor disabilities.
Having just been examined and admitted to the hospital to prepare for surgery for her son Nguyen Gia Phong (10 years old), Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (residing in Canh Thuy ward, Bac Ninh province) expressed her joy when doctors at Xanh Pon Hospital and Children Action experts directly examined and performed surgery. She said that her son had an accident that caused severe damage to his musculoskeletal system, causing him to walk with a limp and have one leg higher than the other. The disability caused him to grow up with many complexes and low self-esteem. The family's biggest wish is for him to have surgery so that his legs will be stable for life.

Mr. Dang Van Tai's family hopes that the surgery for their 6-year-old daughter with a limb deformity will be successful so that she can have a life like everyone else.
Traveling from Lao Cai to Hanoi , Mr. Dang Van Tai's family brought hope for the right leg of their 6-year-old daughter who had been deformed due to soft tissue necrosis near the foot since childhood. Mr. Tai said that the family had taken her to many places for examination but had not found a suitable surgical option.
Knowing about this program, he took his daughter to Hanoi for examination and surgery. He shared that on November 21, the family will complete the admission procedures, and the surgery is expected to be on November 22. Emotionally, Mr. Tai said: "I don't know what to say other than thank you from the bottom of my heart to the doctors and Children Action. The family only hopes that after the surgery, our daughter can walk and move normally like any other child."
