The delegation included representatives of Vietnam Maritime Safety Corporation, Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region 1, Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority and related units.
Directly inspecting storm prevention work at Tan Cang - Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC - HICT) and TIL Hai Phong International Terminal (HTIT), Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Xuan Sang highly appreciated the proactive spirit of the management agency and port operators in developing storm response plans.
However, due to the complicated developments of storm No. 3, port operators are at the “head of the wave and wind” and are directly affected, so storm prevention work must be carried out earlier, more drastically and synchronously.

The Deputy Minister requested units and enterprises to make the most of their time to implement measures to ensure safety for people and property, anchor cranes and tractors, lower containers behind the port yard, and ensure electrical safety. At the same time, promote experience in preventing storm No. 3 in 2024 to minimize damage caused by rain and storms.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Xuan Sang requested the Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority, the Northern Maritime Safety Corporation, and the Northern Maritime Pilotage Company Limited to urgently guide vessels to anchorage areas, avoid storms, and ensure safety for people and vessels.
After the storm subsided, units urgently reviewed and inspected the safety of shipping routes in Hai Phong, quickly resuming operations as soon as possible. The Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region 1 always maintains forces and equipment to be ready to participate in natural disaster prevention and search and rescue when required.
