Meiko workers excitedly 'learn and play' at the 17th sports festival

More than 300 workers of Meiko Hai Duong Vietnam Co., Ltd. learned about the Law on Social Insurance and enthusiastically competed in the 17th sports festival organized by the Trade Union.

On the afternoon of October 11, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation organized a conference to disseminate knowledge about the Law on Social Insurance for union members and employees at Meiko Hai Duong Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Phuc Dien Industrial Park, Mao Dien Commune).

Attending the conference were representatives of the City Labor Federation, City Social Insurance, General Director of Meiko Hai Duong Vietnam Co., Ltd. and more than 300 workers of the company.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Quyet, Permanent Vice President of the City Labor Federation, highly appreciated the activities of the company's grassroots trade union in recent times. He suggested that the grassroots trade union should continue to promote its role in supervising the implementation of social insurance policies at enterprises, promptly grasp and reflect arising issues to ensure the rights of employees.

At the program, Mr. Luong Hoang Hai, Deputy Head of the Department of Propaganda and Participant Support (Hai Phong City Social Insurance) introduced the basic contents of the Law on Social Insurance and the Law on Health Insurance, emphasizing the notable new points of the Law on Social Insurance 2024 and the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance 2024.

Immediately after the conference, the Trade Union of Meiko Hai Duong Vietnam Co., Ltd. organized the 17th sports festival for all workers. Permanent Vice President of the City Labor Federation Nguyen Van Quyet presented flowers to congratulate the sports festival.

The atmosphere at the company's mini soccer field became exciting and bustling with many diverse competitions such as running, throwing shuttlecock, soccer, tug of war, sack jumping, etc.

Each event attracted a large number of workers to participate and cheer, creating a joyful and united atmosphere.

The sports festival is not only an opportunity to practice health and strengthen team spirit, but also contributes to improving the spiritual life of workers, encouraging them to work enthusiastically, produce, and complete assigned tasks well.

The propaganda activities combined with sports events at Meiko Hai Duong Vietnam Co., Ltd. show the practical concern of the trade union organization for the material and spiritual life of workers. Workers are not only raised awareness but also given more energy and solidarity to join the enterprise in building a civilized working environment.
