The race for tickets to the quarter-finals of the Southern qualifying round of the Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament 2025 is taking place extremely dramatically.

On the morning of October 11, the second round of the Southern region group stage of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament ended with many surprising results: Dong Nai 1 Trade Union defeated Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union 3 (8-1), Sawaco defeated Dong Nai 2 Trade Union (3-1), Dong Thap Trade Union defeated Serefico (16-1).

As of the second round of the Southern region group stage, only Da Nang Trade Union is the only team to enter the quarterfinals. The Han River team has 6 points and is sure to finish the group stage in first place in Group A.

In Group B, Sacombank is holding the biggest advantage as they are leading the group with 3 points (4 goal difference) and have 1 match left to play against Gia Lai Trade Union. Just a draw is enough to help them enter the quarter-finals.

In Group C, Sawaco (6 points) is leading, above Dong Nai 2 Union (3 points) and Tay Ninh 2 Union (3 points).

Dong Nai 1 Trade Union and An Giang Trade Union with 6 points are fiercely competing for the ticket to continue in group D.

In group E, there is still a chance for Le Bao Minh (4 points), Quang Ngai Trade Union (4 points) and Quang Ngai Trade Union (3 points).

Dong Nai 3 Trade Union and Khanh Hoa Trade Union with 6 points are fiercely competing for the ticket.

The 6 group winners and the 2 best second-placed teams will advance to the quarter-finals of the Southern qualifying round of the 2025 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament.

The 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Vietnam Football Federation. This is the third consecutive year the tournament has taken place.

The 2025 tournament is sponsored by Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO), Dong Luc Sports Group, HTP Pharmaceutical Investment Joint Stock Company, Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company, Sunshine Group, Saigon Water Corporation (SAWACO), Faslink Fashion Connection Joint Stock Company, 108 Central Military Hospital, 175 Military Hospital and a number of enterprises.

The Northern qualifying round took place from October 3 to 5 at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, determining 6 names to win tickets to the national final round, including the champion, the People's Public Security Trade Union.
