Honoring young people who live useful lives for the community

On the evening of October 11, in Hanoi , the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated with TCP Vietnam Company to organize the Gala "Youth Live Beautifully" in 2025.

Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam said: As a broad social organization with the role of uniting and gathering all classes of Vietnamese youth, the Vietnam Youth Union has strengthened the organization of programs, movement activities, and political activities to strongly arouse the spirit of patriotism, awareness, national spirit, spirit of self-reliance, self-confidence, self-reliance, national pride, and aspiration to develop the country of Vietnamese youth.

In particular, the “Youth Living Well” Award is an award organized by the Central Association since 2017, to honor outstanding youths who have jobs, noble deeds, demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and sharing difficulties with the community and society. After 8 years of implementation, the Award has honored 192 outstanding examples in various fields.

“The special thing about the 2025 Award is that individuals who have been honored will still be considered for the Award if their contributions continue to be persistent, creating a profound impact in the community. This carries a very profound message: “Living beautifully” is not a one-time achievement, but a journey of continuous striving, a lifelong commitment,” emphasized Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam.

After more than 3 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 86 nominations from 25 units across the country. The Selection Council has selected 20 most typical faces representing millions of Vietnamese youth living beautifully and usefully.

That is the touching story of Police Sergeant Giang A Thang (Dien Bien). Although he is being treated for end-stage kidney failure, he still founded and maintained the model “Bundle of Loving Chopsticks” to create jobs and income for poor patients in the “dialysis village”, helping them have more income to cover their living expenses and treatment.

That is the Vietnamese intelligence reaching the world of Dr. Nguyen Viet Hai, who represented young global scientists to speak at the United Nations forum, and whose important contributions were awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize for science and technology.

That is the spirit of innovation and creativity of Mong ethnic boy Sung A Tua, who has turned the village in the clouds into an attractive tourist destination through social media channels, contributing to changing the face of his homeland.

These exemplary examples are just a small slice in the bright picture of today's Vietnamese youth - a generation with compassion, solid knowledge, strong character, patriotism, and aspirations to reach far.

At the Gala, individuals were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, logos and prizes worth 10 million VND presented by TCP Vietnam Company.

In parallel with the award ceremony, the "Youth Live Beautifully" Journey will continue to be implemented in many localities across the country, spreading the spirit of humanity and the desire to contribute through social security activities, culture, sports, national defense, creative work and studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
