Hanoi Red Cross shares difficulties with people affected by storms and floods

Faced with the difficulties of people in Hanoi and other provinces affected by storms, floods, and post-storm circulation, the Hanoi Red Cross has urgently deployed support activities for the people.

Promoting the spirit of "mutual love and support", "Red Cross - For everyone, everywhere", the Hanoi Red Cross Society proactively called on Red Cross officials, members, volunteers; agencies, units, organizations and individuals to join hands to support people affected by floods caused by storms and post-storm circulation. Responding to the Society's appeal, up to now, the number of donation accounts has received over 281 million VND in support from kind-hearted people in the community. Along with that, drinking water, food, and essential necessities were transferred to the Society by units, organizations and individuals to promptly give to the people.
From October 8 to October 11, the Hanoi Red Cross Society urgently carried out activities to support people in affected provinces, such as: Coordinating with the Thai Nguyen Provincial Red Cross Society to donate 100 cartons of bottled water to people; coordinating with the Lang Son Provincial Red Cross Society to donate 600 bottles of bottled water...

In Hanoi, in the communes of Da Phuc, Trung Gia, Kim Anh flooded due to the impact of storms and rains, the Association coordinated with units and organizations to give practical gifts to the people. 150 cartons of bottled water were transferred by the Association to the goods receiving point to support people in the above 3 communes on October 10. And on October 11, from the resources received from students in the Hai Phong Compatriots Volunteer Student Team, 200 cartons of filtered water, 131 packages of rice cakes, 40 cartons of instant noodles, 100 sets of toothbrushes... were given to the above communes. Through the connection of the City Red Cross Association, the Minh Ngoc Volunteer Group donated notebooks, pens, rice, milk, clothes, and necessities to support people in Tan Hung village, Da Phuc commune and Do village, Trung Gia commune.

According to the plan, in the coming days, the Hanoi Red Cross will continue to carry out practical and appropriate support activities for people in the city and affected provinces with the hope that these initial support gifts will help them reduce difficulties caused by natural disasters and catastrophes and soon rebuild their lives. Accompanying the Association in the above activities is the enthusiastic participation of Navara Vietnam units and clubs, especially the trust and support of organizations and philanthropists in society, further spreading the spirit of mutual love and affection./.
