Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Official Dispatch 35/CD-TTg dated April 10, 2024 sent to the Minister of Health and the Minister of Finance on removing difficulties for medicinal herb export activities.
The dispatch stated that recently, the press has reported difficulties in exporting some medicinal herbs, affecting the production and business activities of many enterprises. In addition to the reasons due to market difficulties and falling prices, there are also reasons due to difficulties in implementing some regulations of the Ministry of Health in Circular No. 48/2018/TT-BYT dated December 28, 2018 and Circular No. 03/2021/TT-BYT dated March 4, 2021.
In order to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the field of medicinal herbs export, creating momentum to promote production and business activities for enterprises in this field, the Prime Minister requested: The Ministry of Health, according to its assigned functions, tasks and authority, shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and relevant agencies to urgently review, study, amend and perfect the Ministry's regulations on the import and export of medicinal herbs, ensuring the quick removal of obstacles to facilitate production and business activities of enterprises according to regulations; the amendment of regulations for this activity shall be completed before April 25, 2024.
