From November 27 to December 2, 2023, students from 100 countries around the world had the opportunity to present innovative projects that solve real-world problems in the fields of natural sciences , humanities, technology and creative research in the program at The Boulevard, Emirates Towers - Dubai, taking place within the framework of the COP 28 Global Climate Action Conference.
The project of a group of students from the University of Mining and Geology, including 5 students: Nguyen Trung Hieu, Vo Dinh Trong, Nguyen Xuan Cong, Bui Duc Tung, Dang Quanh Minh, guided by Dr. Tang Van Lam, was excellently selected to be displayed at this program.
The group's selected project of completely cement-free, premixed, bagged green concrete with quite high compressive strength has attracted the attention and orders of many businesses and partners.
The Vietnamese student team surpassed over 3,000 teams from more than 100 countries around the world to be selected among the 100 most effective and beneficial projects for the community.
The selection of this project involved prestigious academic institutions such as Harvard, Cambridge, as well as leading universities in emerging economies.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised and congratulated Mr. Tang Van Lam and the group of students for achieving encouraging results, demonstrating the quality of education and affirming the intelligence of Vietnamese people and the maturity of Vietnamese delegations when participating in international competitions.
The Prime Minister suggested that the group continue to research and commercialize green concrete products and develop other products, contributing to the implementation of the Party and State's major policies on green transformation, circular economic development, resource-intensive reduction, waste and emissions reduction, etc. from a global and people-centered perspective, with people as the center, subject, target, resource and driving force, mobilizing the participation of all people in responding to climate change, for the benefit of all people.

On the same afternoon, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his wife and the Vietnamese delegation left the UAE for home, successfully concluding his working trip to attend the COP 28 Summit, visit Türkiye officially and hold bilateral activities in the UAE.
