At the invitation of Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Klaus Schwab, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife will join a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

This is the second consecutive year that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has attended WEF Davos and the fourth time attending WEF conferences as Prime Minister.

Important foundation to promote cooperation between Vietnam and WEF

Since Vietnam and the World Economic Forum established relations in 1989, cooperation between Vietnam and WEF has been promoted and developed in many fields by leaders of both sides.

Vietnam has attended the WEF Davos Annual Meeting at the Prime Minister level 5 times (2007, 2010, 2017, 2019, 2024) (other years usually attended at the Deputy Prime Minister level); attended the WEF Pioneers Annual Meeting in Tianjin/Dalian twice (2023, 2024); attended the WEF ASEAN Meeting (before 2016, it was WEF East Asia) at the Prime Minister level 4 times (2012, 2013, 2014 and 2017) (other years usually attended at the Deputy Prime Minister level).

The dialogue is considered the most successful national strategic dialogue that WEF has coordinated with a country to organize, in terms of participation level, content, timing and organization.
