Vietnam will soon become one of the 20 largest economies in the world.
At the meeting with WEF Founder and Chairman Klaus Schwab, in a friendly and joyful atmosphere, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Professor Klaus Schwab discussed the major topics of this year's WEF Davos Conference, current challenges, new development trends and cooperation between Vietnam and WEF.
Appreciating the theme "Rebuilding trust", the Prime Minister said that this is a practical, appropriate and important theme in the current context, contributing to the process of strengthening trust, promoting international solidarity, inspiring all countries to join hands for the development of humanity.

The Prime Minister thanked the Forum and Professor Schwab for their close and effective cooperation with Vietnam over the past years, especially in the context of many difficulties in the world economy. The Prime Minister highly appreciated the WEF's assistance in exchanging, consulting, building policies, connecting with WEF member enterprises, and promoting the attraction of high-quality foreign investment in Vietnam.
Delighted to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to the WEF Davos Conference for the first time, Professor Klaus Schwab said that the Prime Minister's attendance, profound sharing, and strategic vision brought important messages and solutions to respond to challenges and restore global confidence. The WEF President highly appreciated Vietnam's many start-up businesses, its strong reforming economy, focusing on high-tech industries, manufacturing, promoting green development..., and will soon become one of the 20 largest economies in the world.
The Prime Minister respectfully invited Professor Klaus Schwab and WEF leaders to visit Vietnam soon. Vietnam is ready to coordinate with WEF to organize mid-term conferences in Vietnam, promote connectivity and promote the role of WEF in the region.

On this occasion, under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Professor Klaus Schwab, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai and WEF Executive Director Jeremy Jurgens signed a cooperation agreement to establish the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution; Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Le Van Thanh and WEF Executive Director Saadia Zahihi signed a Letter of Intent to participate in the Skills Gap Accelerator Network Initiative.
These are important areas of cooperation to implement the Vietnam - WEF Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the 2023-2026 period. These cooperation documents are an important foundation to continue promoting and deepening the Vietnam - WEF cooperation relationship with substantial results, helping Vietnam access resources for digital transformation, develop high-quality human resources, thereby establishing a synchronous ecosystem to promote new growth drivers, attract investment, and improve national competitiveness.

At the meeting with South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, the two sides highly appreciated the close cooperation between the two governments in effectively implementing the Vietnam-South Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the agreements reached between the two countries' senior leaders in recent times.
The Korean Prime Minister emphasized that the Korean people and government always think of Vietnam as a very close friend; the relationship between the two countries is a special one, increasingly close, contributing to peace and stability in the region and the world.
The two Prime Ministers agreed to continue promoting substantive, effective and comprehensive cooperation in bilateral relations based on political trust between senior leaders and close relations between businesses, localities and people of the two countries; promoting substantive and mutually beneficial cooperation, focusing on creating a major shift in economic cooperation. Cultural and people-to-people exchanges are a solid foundation for strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in many fields.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that Korea continue to create more favorable conditions for Vietnam's key products; encourage Korean enterprises to continue expanding their investment scale in Vietnam; actively build research and development (R&D) centers, and support Vietnam in developing the entertainment, cultural and fashion industries.
The two leaders affirmed that they will continue to closely coordinate and support each other in regional and international forums. In the face of current escalating tensions in many regions, the two sides also agreed to continue to support the respect for the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, including not threatening or threatening to use force, peacefully resolving all disputes, ensuring peace, stability, security, safety and freedom of navigation in seas, including the East Sea.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Han Duck-soo invited Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit Korea.
Prime Minister meets with Ukrainian President Zelensky
At the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelensky, the two leaders emphasized the importance of the traditional friendship, partnership and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Ukraine. In the current situation, to maintain the momentum of the relationship, the two sides agreed to coordinate to remove obstacles and seek measures to restore trade exchanges in goods of both sides' strengths.
The Prime Minister affirmed Vietnam's consistent stance that all disputes must be resolved by peaceful means, in accordance with the fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, including respect for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, and non-use or threat of force. Vietnam supports the efforts of the international community to create conditions for relevant parties to negotiate and promote aid and humanitarian relief for the people.
The President of Ukraine highly appreciated Vietnam's stance and thanked the Government and people of Vietnam for providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
The Prime Minister thanked Ukraine for its support in ensuring the safety and evacuation of Vietnamese citizens in Ukraine, and hoped that the Ukrainian government would continue to support in ensuring the safety of the lives and property of Vietnamese citizens who continue to live, work and operate in Ukraine.

At the meeting with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his pleasure to meet the Belgian Prime Minister again after a year of official visit to Belgium (December 2023), and thanked Belgium for the warm and thoughtful reception for the delegation; emphasizing that Vietnam always considers Belgium an important partner in the EU and wishes to further promote Vietnam - Belgium relations.
The Belgian Prime Minister highly appreciated the official visit to Belgium by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; and was pleased that the relationship between the two countries has developed positively over the past year. The two Prime Ministers agreed to continue to increase the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level ones; promote cooperation between localities and effectively implement existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully invited the King and Queen of Belgium as well as Prime Minister Alexander De Croo to visit Vietnam soon.

Regarding economic and trade cooperation, the two Prime Ministers encouraged agencies and businesses of the two countries to continue to fully and effectively implement the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA). Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked Belgium to soon complete the ratification process of the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA); strengthen cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, renewable energy, green transformation, circular economy; promote cultural exchange, and link culture with tourism. Regarding the Strategic Partnership on Agriculture, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked Belgium to support the development of circular agricultural economic models and smart agriculture.

The two Prime Ministers affirmed to continue to closely coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums and international organizations, contributing to ensuring peace, security, cooperation and development in the region and the world. Discussing the East Sea issue, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked Belgium to support ASEAN's stance, affirming the importance of ensuring peace, stability, security, safety and freedom of navigation and aviation in the East Sea; and resolving disputes by peaceful means, in accordance with international law, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
