At 6:00 p.m. on October 18 (local time), immediately after arriving in Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh worked with the country's leading enterprises in the fields of steel production, retail and garment.

Mr. Shehim Kottilingal, Director of Lulu International Group - which owns a large supermarket chain system, spread across more than 23 countries, said that Vietnam is a safe destination with great potential for exporting agricultural products. Therefore, the group will soon expand its market in Vietnam, including purchasing agricultural products and building an agricultural processing factory in Vietnam.
Currently, the group has imported 30% of fresh lemons from Vietnam to sell in the Saudi Arabian market and 40% of cashew nuts. In the near future, the group will continue to import other agricultural products such as fish and other fruits and vegetables.
Mr. Shehim Kottilingal suggested that the Vietnamese Government create more favorable conditions for granting licenses to expand agricultural processing plants in Vietnam and expand the import of Vietnamese agricultural products. At the same time, the Government should consider opening a direct flight from Saudi Arabia to Vietnam to facilitate the import of fresh food and vegetables in Vietnam.
At the reception, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked and appreciated Lulu Group for being a bridge to introduce quality Vietnamese products to consumers in Saudi Arabia as well as other countries through its large-scale and widespread supermarket chain in recent times.
The Prime Minister suggested that the group research and expand its agricultural products and introduce more Vietnamese products in the group's supermarket chain around the world.
At the same time, the head of the Vietnamese Government hopes to promote cooperation for Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the Halal industry , especially opening a supermarket chain system in Vietnam.

Thanking the Prime Minister for taking the time to receive the delegation, Mr. Abdularahma Al Zamil - Chairman of Zamil Group - affirmed the group's development strategy in the Vietnamese market. Currently, Zamil Steel has built a factory in Noi Bai Industrial Park (Hanoi) with 100% foreign capital.
Assessing that Vietnam has a very favorable position to export Zamil products to neighboring countries, the Zamil chairman hopes that Vietnam will create conditions for the group to export goods to countries in the region.
Appreciating the group’s business activities, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the group study and expand its investment and production activities in Vietnam. In particular, it is necessary to prioritize innovation in production technology towards modernity, increasing the content of high technology, sustainability and environmental friendliness.
Meanwhile, receiving the leader of AJLAN & BROS Group - Saudi Arabia's leading garment enterprise, the Prime Minister suggested that the group research investment and cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises in areas of strength, including textiles, technology, agriculture, rice, clean energy, renewable energy, real estate, emerging industries, etc.
Informing that there will be long-term projects in the future in Vietnam, especially in areas of strength, Mr. Ali AL Khatib - Deputy CEO of AJLAN & BROS Group - hopes that Vietnam will introduce suitable businesses for cooperation.
