Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his impression when witnessing the achievements of Samsung Group in the field of high technology in general and semiconductor in particular, contributing to the improvement in the quality of life of billions of people around the world.
Recognizing the effective investment and business activities of Samsung Group in the fields of manufacturing industry, producing electronic equipment and components in Vietnam over the past nearly 20 years and making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of Vietnam, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for Samsung to continue its business activities in Vietnam.
Regarding Vietnam's priority to promote the semiconductor and AI industries in the coming period, the Prime Minister said that Vietnam welcomes and encourages investors to invest in Semiconductor technology and AI, and promote the ecosystem for these fields; said that Vietnam will perfect its policy institutions, train high-quality human resources, develop infrastructure... to best serve corporations investing in developing the semiconductor industry.
The Prime Minister congratulated and believed that Samsung Group would always develop and cooperate in successful and sustainable investment in Vietnam.
* On the same afternoon, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the family of Mr. Jang Yeong Gak and Ms. Vu Thai Linh - a Vietnamese-Korean multicultural family in Osan city, Gyeonggi province.
The Prime Minister was delighted to witness the warm, happy, successful and progressive life of Mr. Jang Yeong Gak and Ms. Vu Thai Linh's family, as well as the Vietnamese children living, working and studying in Korea; he said that nearly 800 years ago, when Prince Ly Long Tuong left Dai Viet for Cao Ly, the two peoples of Vietnam and Korea had a relationship. Through ups and downs, breakthroughs, the relationship Vietnam-Korea never been as good as it is now. In Korea, there are nearly 300 thousand Vietnamese people working, studying and living and there are about 200 thousand Korean people working and living in Vietnam; the two countries have up to 80 thousand Vietnamese-Korean multicultural families.
Believing that Vietnamese people in Korea, especially Vietnamese-Korean multicultural families, are bridges that foster relations between the two countries and peoples, the Prime Minister hopes that the families of Mr. Jang Yeong Gak and Ms. Vu Thai Linh in particular and Vietnamese people in Korea in general will continue to unite, work hard, study, research, do business, and build a beautiful life; at the same time, preserve the cultural beauty that the two countries have many similarities in, comply with local laws, behave culturally, contribute to promoting the image of the country, culture, and people of Vietnam and fostering increasingly good relations between Vietnam and Korea.
