On the afternoon of November 9, the Party Committee of the Government Office held a ceremony to award Party badges to Mr. Truong Hoa Binh - former Politburo member, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister and Mr. Pham Gia Khiem - former Politburo member, former Deputy Prime Minister.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented the 50-year Party membership badge to Mr. Truong Hoa Binh and the 45-year Party membership badge to Mr. Pham Gia Khiem.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Prime Minister affirmed that the noble titles awarded to the two former Deputy Prime Ministers demonstrate the Party's respect and recognition of their work, contributions and dedication to the revolutionary cause of the Party, State and People.
The Prime Minister assessed that during their working and participating in revolutionary activities, Mr. Pham Gia Khiem and Mr. Truong Hoa Binh have held many positions and taken on many important responsibilities in different fields.
In any position or field, the two former Deputy Prime Ministers have always been steadfast in the Party's goals and ideals; absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; preserved the revolutionary moral qualities of a communist party member, constantly studied, cultivated, trained, strived, and made every effort to fulfill the assigned duties and tasks.
According to the head of the Government, during their work as Government leaders, Mr. Pham Gia Khiem and Mr. Truong Hoa Binh have always been exemplary models, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility, and together with the Prime Minister, led the Government members to build a united, unified, dynamic, effective and efficient Government.
The two former Deputy Prime Ministers left valuable experiences and good lessons in the leadership, direction and administration of the Government; together with the Government, they made important contributions to the cause of protecting, building and developing the country.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the revolutionary cause has achieved the results it has today thanks to the sacrifices and contributions of our predecessors and the efforts of our entire people and army to overcome difficulties and hardships under the leadership of the Party and beloved President Ho Chi Minh.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that future generations must always remember, respect and be grateful for the contributions of previous generations and promote good traditional values and achievements to build a strong and prosperous country, where people can have a prosperous and happy life.
Mr. Pham Gia Khiem was born on August 6, 1944 in Hanoi, in a family with a tradition of studiousness and academic achievement.
As a member of the Party Central Committee (VIII, IX, X tenures), a member of the Politburo (X tenure), Minister of Science and Technology, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pham Gia Khiem has made important contributions to the cause of innovation, integration and development of the country; leaving many marks in his career, especially in the fields of science, technology and diplomacy of the country.
Mr. Truong Hoa Binh was born on April 13, 1955 in Long An, in a family with a rich revolutionary tradition.
As a member of the Party Central Committee (10th, 11th, 12th tenure), Secretary of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure), member of the Politburo (12th tenure), Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Truong Hoa Binh has made great contributions to the cause of protecting and building the Fatherland, especially in the fields of justice, internal affairs, and anti-corruption and negativity.
