From June 5-14, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, will attend the 3rd United Nations Summit to support the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development; conduct bilateral activities in France; and pay official visits to Estonia and Sweden.
The working trip took place at the invitation of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and French President Emmanuel Macron, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
France and Costa Rica will co-host the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice from June 9-13, under the theme "Promoting action and mobilizing all stakeholders for the conservation and sustainable use of the ocean".

During a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the sidelines of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in the UAE (December 2023), the Swedish Prime Minister expressed his belief that Vietnam will continue to make positive contributions to promoting and upholding ASEAN's central role as well as participating in resolving international issues of concern to the community.
