Danang Science and Technology Library won first prize at the National Library Staff Festival

After 4 exciting days (from April 23 to 26, 2024), the National Library Staff Festival to promote reading culture and introduce books to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) with the theme "Dien Bien - Forever resounding heroic epic" organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Dien Bien province closed on the afternoon of April 26.

The National Library Staff Festival with the participation of 42 participating teams, from libraries of provinces, cities, armed forces, and universities nationwide. The theme of the Festival is exploited in many new forms, creating effectiveness and leaving an impression on the audience. In particular, 2024 recorded the highest number of participating teams in the Festival. With the efforts to innovate and create in both content and form of expression of the teams in promoting and introducing books, the 42 participating teams brought 42 different cultural colors, not only promoting in a focused and profound way the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu but also bringing the spirit of the Dien Bien Phu victory into the breath of life today.

The festival has contributed to the dissemination of documents and books about the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu, which "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world", ending the 9-year long resistance war against the French colonialists, marking a great turning point in the history of the struggle to build and defend the country of the Vietnamese people. Thereby, it aroused the love for the homeland and country, national pride, revolutionary fighting tradition, the desire to contribute, build and develop a prosperous and happy country among all classes of people, especially the young generation. At the same time, it created conditions for library staff to exchange, study, and improve their knowledge and professional expertise.

The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the first prize winning teams.

At the Festival, Da Nang General Science Library participated in 4 contents, including: introducing the team, introducing the work "Danh Lam", sharing the model "Da Nang Reading Culture Festival" and the talent competition.

At the end of the Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded: 6 Excellent Prizes to the delegations of Dien Bien Provincial Library, Military Region II Library, Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library, Hanoi Library, Dong Thap Library, Nghe An Provincial Library; 12 First Prizes; 12 Second Prizes; 12 Third Prizes; 4 Special Prizes to the participating teams, in which the Prize for the most impressive team introduction belonged to Quang Ninh Provincial Library; the Prize for the most professional book introduction and promotion belonged to Hai Phong City General Science Library; the Prize for the most creative and effective service model belonged to Quang Nam Provincial Library; the Prize for the best talent demonstration belonged to Lang Son Provincial Library. Da Nang General Science Library won the First Prize at the Festival.
