The digital transformation strategy until 2030, recently issued by the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, sets specific goals and demands strong innovation in management. The overarching principle is to ensure that digital transformation yields practical results and creates a clear improvement in serving the people.

In the target system, digital infrastructure is identified as the first pillar. The province aims for province-wide 5G coverage, ensuring that people have access to broadband at a minimum speed of 1 Gb/s, and completing the Provincial Data Center to be synchronously connected with the National Data Center. This is a condition for sectors and localities to deploy digital services stably and securely.

In the field of digital government, Thai Nguyen aims to receive and process administrative procedures across geographical boundaries, digitize all records, and reuse at least 80% of data in processing procedures. The province's decision to operate its information system on a cloud computing platform and utilize artificial intelligence demonstrates its proactive approach to technological trends.

However, effectiveness still largely depends on the competence of officials, data interoperability, and consistency in operational processes. When these factors are ensured, citizens will benefit from more convenient and transparent public services.

With regard to the digital economy , Thai Nguyen aims for the digital economy to account for over 35% of its GRDP, supporting at least 10,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in digital transformation, clearly demonstrating a focus on the business community. The formation of a concentrated digital technology zone to attract large enterprises is a crucial direction for creating a new development nucleus.

However, to become a truly attractive destination, the province needs to continue improving its technical infrastructure, enhancing the investment environment, and expanding the mechanism for testing technological products so that businesses have the conditions to innovate and create.

In the digital society, the goal of having 98% of people aged 14 and above with electronic identity accounts and ensuring that the entire adult population has access to digital services in healthcare, education, insurance, transportation, etc., is a high requirement but aligns with the national trend of popularizing digital services. This also serves as a foundation for forming online service usage habits within the community, promoting more transparent and efficient state management.

To realize its goals, Thai Nguyen province has set forth a comprehensive set of tasks ranging from improving institutions, developing infrastructure, training human resources, building and exploiting data to promoting the digital economy, digital society, and ensuring cybersecurity. This approach encompasses technical conditions, mechanisms, and human resources, creating a foundation for the strategy to be implemented synchronously.

The strategy aims to make Thai Nguyen a leading locality in the region in science, technology, and innovation. This expectation can only be realized with decisive action, regular monitoring, and the synchronized participation of the entire political system, businesses, and the people. Each objective, when implemented, must yield concrete results, contributing to improved governance and services for the people.
