The reality of digital transformation

The digital transformation strategy to 2030 has just been issued by the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, setting specific goals and requiring strong innovation in management. The consistent spirit is to ensure that digital transformation brings practical results, creating a clear change in serving the people.

In the target system, digital infrastructure is identified as the first pillar. The province aims to cover the entire province with 5G, ensuring that people have access to broadband with a minimum speed of 1 Gb/s and completing the Provincial Data Center to connect synchronously with the National Data Center. This is a condition for industries and localities to deploy stable and safe digital services.

In the field of digital government, Thai Nguyen sets the goal of receiving and handling administrative procedures without boundaries, digitizing all records and reusing at least 80% of data in processing procedures. Putting the province's information system to operate on a cloud computing platform and applying artificial intelligence shows proactively grasping technological trends.

However, effectiveness still depends largely on staff capacity, data connectivity and consistency in operating procedures. When these factors are ensured, people will benefit from more convenient and transparent public services.

With the digital economy , Thai Nguyen aims for the digital economy to account for over 35% of GRDP, supporting at least 10,000 small and medium enterprises to transform digitally, clearly demonstrating the focus on the business community. The formation of a concentrated digital technology zone to attract large enterprises is an important direction to create a new development nucleus.

However, to become a truly attractive destination, the province needs to continue to improve technical infrastructure, improve the investment environment, and expand the mechanism for testing technology products so that businesses have the conditions to innovate and create.

In the field of digital society, the target of 98% of people aged 14 and over having an electronic identification account and the entire adult population having access to digital services in healthcare, education, insurance, transportation, etc. is a high requirement but in line with the trend of popularizing national digital services. This is also a premise to form the habit of using online services in the community, promoting more transparent and effective state management.

To realize the goals, Thai Nguyen province has set out a comprehensive set of tasks from institutional improvement, infrastructure development, human resource training, data development and exploitation to promoting the digital economy, digital society and ensuring network security. This approach covers technical conditions, mechanisms and people, creating a foundation for the strategy to be implemented synchronously.

The strategy sets the expectation of making Thai Nguyen a leading locality in the region in science, technology and innovation. That expectation will only come true when accompanied by drastic actions, regular inspections and the synchronous participation of the entire political system, businesses and people. Each target when implemented must bring specific results, contributing to improving the quality of management and service to the people.
